Big Blue is only offered with a 31-night minimum. Great location in mellow South Mission Beach! Our beach house has a great outdoor deck about 20x15 feet in size, with an ocean view! You can sit on the deck and watch the surf, boardwalk, and the pelicans fly by! Sunsets are amazing, and you are just steps away from the ocean! We are just four doors to the shore and crashing waves. You can hear the waves from Big Blue! We are located on the Pacific Ocean and Boardwalk side of the South Mission Beach Pennisula. Study the map and see for yourself as location is key at the beach. We are in South Mission, just south of Belmont Park and the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster. Big Blue is part of a three-unit building. Big Blue is a separate beach house with it's own entry and parking. It is located on the top floor above two separate one-bedroom beach cottages below. This bright and sunny unit has an open-beam ceiling that provides an authentic beach house feel. The best spot to enjoy grilling and dining on the private deck just steps away from the kitchen overlooking the deep blue sea, boardwalk, sand, and surf! The location is ideal, making this property convenient for beach activities and all the other sights you don’t want to miss while in San Diego! Check the map to see for yourself! We love our furry family, but please leave your pets at home. We have a strict no pet policy to keep our homes clean and allergy-free for all guests! Markets and restaurants are all within a 2 to 3-block walk. Lots of bike, kayak, surfboard, and sailboat rentals are all nearby. Two King Beds plus Two Queen bunk beds. 2 youth twin bunks are located near the west King Bedroom .
There is also a sofa-sleeper for extra sleeping located in the living room.

Love this home so much!

We love Sharon’s home so much!! It was such a special summer for our family to be able to spend July in wonderful Mission Beach. It is such a special place. After settling in our first day, we truly felt at home throughout the month. She has thought of everything to make your beach trip easy, relaxing and enjoyable. We can’t wait to come stay again and it was very hard to say goodbye when it came time to leave. Thank you Sharon and family for being such wonderful hosts!❤️

Perfect place by the beach

Everything was great during our stay. It has a well equipped kitchen. The short walk to the beach was ideal to bounce back and forth throughout the day. The deck gave us a good view of the sunset.

Amazing Location!

This location was perfect for what we were looking for! The deck outside was so peaceful and such a beautiful view of the ocean. I love how close we are to mission beach but still in a quaint location that was safe. The carpet had a bunch of stains in it as well as the couch and chair in master. But other than that. The bedding was clean, the house was well taken care of. And the owner was easy to communicate with!

Great layout, comfortable beds, full kitchen, laundry, parking, wifi, walk to the beach. Property manager was great to work with. The only things to point out are: the bunk bed mattresses are not standard twin size, they must be a children’s mattress; there is no door from LR to twin bunk area, the sliding door is missing. IMO the carpet has seen better days & should be replaced. Thank you. We had a great time.

Family trip to San Diego

The house could use some love but it was clean and comfortable and the location is FANTASTIC. We enjoyed our stay and loved San Diego! If I was a billionaire, I'd have a place out there myself! Important note: Parking is 1 spot and VERY tight. We rented a Honda Accord and I think you'd have a tough time fitting anything much bigger into the spot.

Great location, a bit dated but a great value for your money.

You’re paying for the location which is steps away to the beach. The place has a beach vibe but a bit dated with some minor repair in the bathrooms. It’s also a bit stuffy and gets warm during the day since there’s no AC. The neighbors got loud at night after 10 pm on weekends so you need ear plugs. The garbage bins were overflowing so a lot of flies around the carport. The Ice maker was not working and notified owner. Overall, it’s still a great place to stay because of the location, and price for a 3 day stay.

Mission Beach family/Wedding vacation

We enjoyed staying at This property! Great location to walk to the beach. Also close to Belmont Park which our Grandson enjoyed. Had lots of room for 6 adults and 2 children. Loved the deck with lots of seating!

What a great time we had! Perfect location and a great house ! Plenty of room for our family of 8. From 3months old to 99 year old.! Definately airplane traffic noice but it ends at -0:30 pm and had quiet nights. It didn’t bother us. Thank you for giving us a very special vacation !
