The hotel was in a great, safe location. I rented a car but ended up barely using it because the hotel was so well located. The highlight of the stay was the staff, they were so nice and accommodating and truly went out of their way for everyone.

The hotel is located in a nice central area of SF. It was easy to take the train, bus, and Uber to and from. The hotel room is a good size. The bed was too soft for us, but that is a personal preference thing. No A/C, which in late Sept. wasn't too bad- still kind of stuffy even with the ceiling fan on. Hotter months would be terrible. The shower glass is not long enough- pooling of water outside the shower was common- they do provide plenty of towels, and they were all used. Overall, had a nice stay, though would not stay again due to the bed, and absolutely not in the summer unless you are just used to no A/C hot sleep. The staff were very professional and helpful.

Great example of its type

Great location and well appointed. Typical of the small old hotel renos in major cities that provide smallish but stylish rooms with a very reasonable price tag. If you like to spend lots of time in your hotel room, or demand lots of space, this is not your kind of place. But if you’re spending lots of time in your room in San Francisco, maybe you should just visit Dallas.
