The website said pet friendly and it wasnt. The website said they had an area for larger vehicles/trailers and that was not true. We had a very hard time getting our uhaul/trailer out of their parking lot. Their standing shower would have been amazing but the shower curtain was to small so water completely soaked the bathroom floor. There was no dish in the microwave.Hallways were super hot

I got there a little early but they have a sign posted no early check in. My room wasn’t ready at 3:00 had to wait a little.

Not top notch

This was our first time staying in a Microtel property. I think the key is you need to know what you are getting into. If you think this place competes with a Hampton Inn then think twice. It’s more on the Hotel 8 level. Not so good! Smoke detector broke and thrown in the closet. Room is small, staff not very friendly and difficult to find. Breakfast is first come first serve and when it runs out there is none. Both mornings of our stay, we ate close to 7am and one morning it was super limited and second morning there was little to nothing. The only thing that saved us is bringing our own bagels using their toaster. Again, I think your expectations just have to be clear when booking a place like this.

Great Staff

We stayed here based on the reviews I read on-line. It was called a hidden gem. We stayed one night while visiting the University of Alabama with our daughter. This hotel was perfect for what we needed and will stay here again should our daughter choose UA. The staff was the best part of the stay. Upon check in, a sign on the counter said to call for service. The woman who came to check us in (I wish I remembered her name), was upstairs cleaning rooms because someone had walked off the job, and she was doing double duty. Despite this, she was pleasant, professional and in a way better mood than I would have been. She is an amazing employee and should be commended.

Room hasn’t been dusted in a while. There was so much dust under the bed that when ac came on it blew everywhere. Internet never worked the whole stay. Towels had long hairs embedded in them and had to change our towels immediately after checking in. Other than those issues it was a pretty decent hotel.
