I love NY

Besides the nice comfort and the convenience of having a couple of good restaurants in the hotel lobby, we loved being centrally located to everything NY had to offer. From train stations to adventures, we didn’t have far to go.

Get room details first

The room was comfortably clean. However, the shower faucet leaked tremendously and I alerted the staff. You have to pay $25 a day for a coffee machine. No fridge. It was just me and my room was super tiny. Maybe that's why? There was also a steady noise outside lasting past midnight each night. The location is tops. I've stayed there before with my boyfriend and had a much better room. If I stay there again, I will do more research. Otherwise, a really nice hotel.

This hotel is getting warn out. We could hear all plumbing functions in the room above us all hours of the day and night. The bathroom needs to be updated as it’s old and worn. You can hear everything said in the halls and it’s annoying if people are loud late at night. We always stay here when attending events at MSG as the location is fantastic! MSG is 2 blocks away, Macy’s is close by too. Not sure if we will go back due to the noise in rooms and in the halls. It’s a shame cause we love the location and all the access to the city.

Skip this hotel. Though common areas are somewhat maintained, the rooms suffer from deferred maintenance. Security mentioned swatters were a concern. Though I understand the need to verify only guests are access the rooms, it appears people of color were the only ones security versifying guest status. I even had a cleaning person ask me to verify what room I was in. On top of the racial profiling this hotel has the audacity to charge $5 per bag to hold your bags after check out. I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and never been charged to have my bags held. I could go on about the time share reps. There are so many hotels in manhattan no need to patronize this establishment.

Many issues with room cards. Had to wait in customer service line 5 separate times over 3 days for reprogramming. Hotel hallways are extremely dirty. Water stains on ceiling and lots of carpet stains. Hallways look to have never been cleaned. This property was embarrassing to take family member too.

The property is old and worn but so convenient to the train station that we keep coming back. Bottom line is it is clean, comfortable and conveniently located. We prefer to stay here anytime we take Amtrak in to the city.

My Room and Bathroom were so disgusting. It was like walking into a scene from..a--horror Movie. Imagine if you will. Tiny bugs flying about at night. The stench of mould seeping through crevices and the fear of catching a disease from touching anything. It appeared as if No updates had been done since 1952. There was NO room for many hygiene products and some of them; fell into; the trash can, Floor and even the toilet. I threw my Curling Iron away and had to replace my toothbrush numerous times. I asked someone to please come look at the room and was ignored. Due to me being bye myself. I was afraid to complain in fear of being asked to leave, because that happened to me at a previous Hotel in 2024. The Internet didn't work the majority of the time. There was an electrical fire and the business area was shut down for 2 days, so I couldn't get anything done. I asked for a coffee Pot almost everyday and finally grew weary and gave up. There were many other things that happened, but after being on the phone today trying to get my deposit back. I'm exhausted and in tears. I'll close with this. The majority of the staff treated me with dignity, some , not so much. After having a conversation with someone about me being alone and a Women and having the feeling that I was being ignored on purpose. The person told me I was right. Everything I wrote is not hyperbole and my advice is to stay away from this, once "Beautiful Iconic Hotel." .
