Great Cabin, Better View!

Had a great time at this cabin! It was easy to get to and a quick drive to the center of town. The views from the patio were fantastic and despite having a large group we never felt cramped. Definitely recommend for a weekend getaway!

Great nature retreat for a friend group!

Went here with my book club and it offered the nature and serenity we were looking for. Expect the property manager contacts to potentially take a few hours to answer questions on the weekend - but overall they offered a straightforward check in and check out process and I appreciated their binder in the living room as a reference for house rules!

Great Experience

We had a great stay in the Moonlight mountain retreat! We did relax in the hot tub, played Billiard and enjoyed the views. There were just some minors issues that I rated it with 4 stars.

Fabulous Snowy Getaway

Our group had a wonderful time in this beautiful mountain home. It had everything you need for a lovely weekend getaway with friends. The hot tub was perfect for the cold wintry weather. The beds were super comfortable. And the abundance of games, pool table and shuffleboard added some much needed competition amongst friends. We would definitely recommend.

We had a great time celebrating at this beautiful home. The view was perfect. The slippery Ivey road at the top of the hill was the only issue we experienced.

We had a lovely long weekend. Adrien was very attentive to our needs. He brought another BBQ and even found us 2 pool cue sticks.The windows could use some curtains to block the early morning sun.My adult children want to do this every year to celebrate my husbands birthday.It was a little difficult to find, the “ blue sign arrow” was placed at a odd angle so the turn was unclear.

Fun Family Weekend

The house was amazing. Our group of 10 had plenty of room to share meals and hang out on the deck with more than enough seating. The kitchen had everything we needed to make full meals, even the pots and pans were really nice. Most of the time in Rentals the pots are horrible. We had a great time at the property, would definitely return.

Wonderful views, marvelous deck. Overall, beautiful cabin that slept our large party comfortably.

Our group loved this cabin! The house itself is beautiful. All of the wood and tile is just lovely. It was very clean and the kitchen had all the tools we needed. Plenty of lounging/ sitting areas as well as dining spaces (there were two dining tables). The beds were comfortable and clean. The upstairs bathroom was gorgeous. What a treat to have fireplaces in several rooms of the house. We gathered on the deck a lot. To chat, have meals, enjoy the stunning view, and to use the hot tub. Definitely a highlight of the house.Families:We had kids ranging from infants - 12yrs old. Pack n plays fit in a couple bedroom closets which made bedtime & naps easy. There are no blinds or curtains in the windows of this house. We really enjoyed this (you’re surrounded by so much beauty), but it is something for families to note if they are used to dark rooms. Also, in the twin bedroom upstairs there are case windows that open. I really like these and think they add a lot to the space, but there are no screens on them & they are on the second story. This was a huge safety issue for us!The bonus room on the top floor was perfect for all the kids to hangout. And they all enjoyed wandering the property. The game closet was impressive. Communication was clear. Check out process was simple and clearly laid out in binder. (Thankful we didn’t have to strip beds before we left.)Overall we loved it here and hope to stay again. Highly recommend!

Christmas Cabin

Moonlight retreat was beautiful! It was already decorated for Christmas with a tree and all! The layout is quirky, in a good way! So much woodwork, really felt like we were in a cabin! We were super close to town, but you wouldn’t know it. Lots of hikes within a few minutes. The deck was incredible, comfy, and the views were great! Hot tub was wonderful and stayed hot! It was so peaceful and relaxing all around.A couple things to note, no curtains on most windows, so it’s bright, but beautiful to wake up to Mountain Views. Cabin road was steep and windy so we were grateful there was no ice or snow, otherwise it could have been tricky getting to the cabin. Overall, we would definitely recommend this cabin! We loved our time here!

We had a large family with 5 children. Everyone had a place to sleep and plenty of area to play. We cooked almost all meals and the kitchen, breakfast nook, and large dining room table were great. The property was fun -- climbing, hiking opportunities everywhere! We set up a telescope on the deck for the moon at night and the acorn woodpeckers during the day. We would definitely come back! Negatives: We tried to contact the property owner 3 times with questions and only got a response once. Also, we ran out of toilet paper on day 2 because no extra was stocked. We were reassured that some would be delivered, it wasn't, and we had to go to the store and buy some.

Beautiful Retreat

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Moonlight Mountain Retreat accommodated our family of 8 with ease. Plenty of bedding and towels, and i was pleasantly surprised to find even the mattress cover on the pull out couches were clean! Kitchen was well stocked. It was quiet, peaceful, and really a beautiful setting, yet just a few minutes drive to town so it was easy to make as many trips as we wanted. We had lots of fun with the pool table and shuffle board, and the multiple TV’s were great. The house is so unique and all of the wood working is gorgeous. Even though it was extra hot weather and the house doesn’t have AC, the rental provided fans, there is actually quite a bit of shade over some areas of the house, and at night the temp was perfect for sleeping with the windows open. We would definitely stay here again.

Summer Visit

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Pros outweighed the Cons. The house was open with ample furniture. It has a pool table, shuffleboard, games a plenty, and a turntable with some great albums. There is an awesome deck and beautiful view. The location is great...less than a mile to town and close to some of the best hiking spots. The Cons: We stayed here in late June and the outside temps were around 85 degrees. The house does not have any A/C nor many window coverings, so it was miserably hot except for the entry way room and the room with the pool table. The upstairs bedrooms got terribly hot even with fans. It helped to open windows, but there were not many that had screens, so you couldn't or you'd be eaten by bugs. Also, with no window covers, expect to be awakened around 5:30-6:00 am (not necessarily a bad thing if you're on vacation I guess). This may be a better rental for winter than summer. We checked out a day early, simply because it was too hot to spend another night. But the check-in process was easy and it really is a nice home. Just don't think about staying there when it's hot out.
