I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 2 young adult kids. The hotel is very close to Santa Monica and Venice, the beds are very comfortable, great pillows, clean rooms, clean bathroom. The only thing is the hallways have a strong smell, not sure if is the cleaning product they use, but only on the hallways, the rooms are perfect! Would stay again.

Great service, great room. Parking sucks. I checked in and this is an immaculate lobby and lounge as you walk in. The check-in staffer was great and friendly, and provided lots of good information. The hallways through the hotel are a "1930's" classic themed and comfortable. The room had bunk beds, made for a family, but nice and comfortable beds. Each bed had it's own USB port. The Santa Monica pier is about a 12 minute drive away. The only things that was difficult is parking, unless you book ahead for parking you will park on the street. That can be a problem. On a weekday night, I had to park on a dark street over a block away. Besides that I will stay there again anytime I am in the area.

The staff in the lobby were very nice and welcoming however, the air conditioning did not work properly. It was very hot. We asked the staff for towels however we never received any. Overall, it was OK stay.

Nice "micro" hotel. Bar wasn't open when we were there but it looks really nice. Staff all friendly and professional. Cleaning staff is great and work hard. Only negative is its noisy. Walls are thin. Try to get top floor (3)

Stephen was very friendly and helpful in giving us local insight on things to do in and around Santa Cruz. Our initial reservation was only for 2 nights, but we extended our stay for 4 nights, and we loved the location and courteous, knowledgeable staff that we met. Even the security guard helped answer our questions!!

Front check in dude, younger guy was totally rude with an attitude. He told me that "I'm gonna need you to move your car from our parking lot", when I thought I had absolutely made arrangements to reserve a parking spot. He was snippy and very dismissive. The fact that I was concerned about parking on the street didn't seem to matter to him. Otherwise room was clean and I enjoyed the hotel itself. Neighborhood was fine, certainly not dangerous. I'd definitely stay there again.

Room was freezing. the water was scathing hot and left burns on my skin could never make it warm or cold. Left with bug bites not sure what it is probably mosquitoes. The hotel smelled like mildew.

Micro hotel I asked for a bottle of water to purchase and I was told I had to walk across the street to 7-11 to get one. Room was very noisy due to road traffic on Santa Monica blvd. One lamp was out of service by the bed and the air conditioner dripped on the headboard all day

The staff and service were awesome. Our initially assigned room had a lot of street noise, and the AC didn't work, requiring opening windows. The front desk staff was great and helped change my room. The second room was much quieter, and the AC worked. The only issue in the second room was the shower drained very slowly, causing a puddle when showering.
