Good stay, enjoy the stairs! No lift

We had a good stay over the weekend. Only downside was there was one working lift out of 3. Being on the 8th floor this was a nightmare as we waited a while for a lift to come that wasn’t full or when the lift did eventually come it would stop at every single floor. It’s fortunate that this lift didn’t break down as the hotel would have none! Rather poor that one of the other lifts wasn’t in working order for a city centre London hotel

I've stayed at CitizenM properties before and the vibe is unique, to say the least. This one in London's Shoreditch neigborhood was no exception. I was greeted immediately and warmly and that was the theme during my 2 night stay. The rooms are small, but comfortable and incredibly efficient. It was clean and accommodated my sleep/work needs more than adequately. My only complaint was that they were down 2 elevators. They did a great job informing me before my stay so I could have rebooked. However, it was only an inconvenience twice in 3 days of being at the property. Overall, i would stay there again for sure and recommend it to anyone that needs to be in that very vibrant working neighborhood in north London.

The hotel staff was wonderful, helped us cancel the last night after my wife got sick and we had to go home early. Room is small but fine, main issue is that there is only one elevator working, and from what other guests say its been like that for months. Need to get that fixed!

One of the elevators was out of order, making it challenging to get up and down quickly. The service was excellent, and I recommend adding breakfast daily to your stay!

Good hotel, good location staff were really friendly - we lost my husbands ring and they were going to be getting maintenance to look in our room after our stay. Only things were the charger in the room for the iPad was broken so the iPad died and we had to use my own phone charger to charge it and then there was only one lift working so there was a bit more waiting around for the lift if you wanted to go places. All in all though a good hotel and experience

Terrible service

I was trapped out the front of the hotel with noone answering their phone or the buzzer to let me in to enable me to check in. There was a rave happening opposite the hotel, and numerous people doing drugs openly in front of the hotel. A single female traveller should not have to struggle to get into a hotel. If you need to lock the doors, and your reception is on a different floor, have a doorman.

We had a great stay at CitizenM in Shoreditch- it was easy to get anywhere we wanted and the hotel was comfortable and welcoming. Our only complaint is that only one elevator was working (which we were told about ahead of time), which made for some long waits. We'd gladly stay at the CitizenM again.
