I've stayed in London 20 times in the last18 years. This was my worst experience. I had a ground floor room #18, behind the front desk, so the location was good, but noisy. The toilet paper holder fell off and was on the the flour when I returned. The bathroom handle was almost falling off so I didn't use the door. On the morning of my 4th day I was informed I would be moved me 10:30 am so they could add extra bed for some others. I was told to pack, and if I didn't, everything would be moved. I didn't want my personal things touched so I packed. Arriving back about 12:30pm I still hadn't be moved. At 11pm I had been moved to the 3rd floor,#22,(54 steps up) while my bag was left at the front desk. When I asked who could move my bag I was told I could leave it at the front desk! The lock into room #22 moves all over and is difficult to unlock. After using the toilet before bed, the toilet continues to make a sound for another hour. In the morning there is evidence that the toilet bowl leaks and there is water on the floor. Most unpleasant! Was I compensated in any way for my inconvenience. NO!! Will I stay there again? NO!! Will I recommend this hotel? Quite the opposite.
