They are in the process of remodeling this hotel and it is absolutely gorgeous. It was clean and smelled new. The house keeping staff were top notch and the front desk people were willing to help us in any way. We arrived earlier than check-in time and they gave us complementary early check-in because a room was available. The best part about this hotel was the location. There are two tube stops within close walking distance and there are lots of souvenir shops and eating places only two blocks away.

Good location, rooms are small and the space was not used wisely. No iron in room have to ask for it. Bar is nice and inexpensive but the security guard seems very rude when dealing with people.

Nothing can beat the location for the price. Near 2 tube stations and we were able to get anywhere we needed. We were in the renovated area and it was done very well. Of course in central London all of the rooms are small, that being said, there was good use of space. Took my Mom and we had 2 twin beds. Nice linens and mattress. Did need a luggage rack in the room.

I looked at the properties’ amenities and saw air conditioned rooms. Unfortunately that was not all rooms. This was my fault because I booked a standard room, and it had no a/c. The room was hot and stuffy. They did bring a fan. However, the room was awful. No bedstands by the bed. The bathroom was unbelievably bad. The sink was so small that you could hardly wash your face. Water splashed all over the floor. The shelf above the sink was on an incline and anything you set on it fell to the ground. The shower had no handheld fixture. Could not shower without wetting your hair. The hotel did have a nice breakfast and the location was good. Read more carefully when booking this hotel. It may have some better rooms on other floors. Their pictures are deceptive.

We had the original double room and it was pretty clean and did the job. Bed was comfy. When we checked in, staff on the desk acted as if we were getting in the way of their conversation. We felt like most of the male staff seem quite rude when we saw them talking to customers but female staff seemed nicer. Any cleaners we came across seemed super friendly. First evening our tv wasn’t working so we called reception and they said the cleaners were meant to fix it that day but it will be fixed the following morning, but the guy really didn’t seem to care and it definitely sounded like a generic response they give to any issues. Of course, nothing got fixed, so just ended up using our phones to watch tv in the evening. Considering the work going on around the hotel, the WiFi was really strong which was great. Although we got the original room, I feel it should have been a bit cheaper for what it was, but as I said, it did the job for the few nights we were there. It’s in a good location too which was useful. I’ve seen other reviews mention the noise from contractors, but we had no issue with this where we were.

Please note this property offers no place for clothing to be hung any drawers or shelves. It only offers a desk and a chair. We came for a five day stay. Had to live out of our suitcase. If it wasn’t for that I would had rated this place a four star. Even a shelf to be able to fold clothing would have helped. I felt cheated as again the picture show luxurious rooms yet no place to put your personal belongings. Also beware that you do not get stuck in the basement with no windows. Be sure your accurate with your booking. I suggest you call the hotel. When I arrived, I was told I had a basement with no window, which was not what I had booked. I don’t know if it was expedia or the hotel that booked us the room . Hotel did oblige us and set us up in room with window. But note no place for clothing to be hung or place to put them.

We spent a great week there this past week, and the stuff were very accommodating. If we ask for something like new towels or more toilet paper it came immediately. I would have liked to partake in the adjoining pub but we didn't have time as we were doing all of the other touristy stuff. Very close to two tube stations Queensway and Bayswater. And just a 3 minute walk to a bus stop as well. I would stay there again because of the convenience. Only one slight drawback were that there weren't any drawers to put your clothing in for the week. But quite frankly that was very minor, and we worked around it. Nothing really to complain about.

The property is in a good location and in decent condition. My problem with this place is we paid for 4 nights about a month in advance and about 2 weeks before arriving I tore a tendon and had to arrange to fly home 2 days early for surgery. They refused to refund the last two days and stuck strictly to their policy. They wouldn’t even offer a room upgrade for the two nights we did stay. I go to London lots and this won’t be a place I stay again when they couldn’t even accommodate a medical reason for an early departure.

The hotel itself was average and our stay was comfortably as it was only 1 night. However it would have been nice to be advised that there was major construction work going on. There was scaffolding and a lift right outside our window and when we opend the curtains in the morning, there were workers working right outside our window. I thought i used the Hotels.com sight not building sight.com.

Had a flight cancellation from Canada resulting in us losing at day and arriving around 9am the next morning. They thankfully had a room for us to get some sleep right away. Had a small hiccup with that room and they graciously let us change room and upgraded us to a two room suite, no questions asked. The hotel is undergoing some obvious renovations creating for a few spots under construction, the reason for the 3 star ratings. However, the location is amazing and the hotel is the perfect place to rest after long sight-seeing days. The hotel has 2 tube stations within a 5 minute walk and plenty of buses stop just at the end of the street. All the staff we encountered throughout our stay were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again, especially for the price & location.

The hotel is about 7 min walk from 2 subways stops and fast food stores. It’s a half block to Kensington park. The new refurbished rooms very clean. The room is very small and scaffolding at the front of hotel as refurbishing continues but noise was not a factor. Staff was slow at responding to requests made on what’s app communication tool so better off walking down and talking to in person to get immediate resolve. Breakfast available for 15 pounds in morning ( did not try) but you have to go elsewhere for other meals. No vending machines on site. But very new and clean in refurbished rooms. Hairdryer, fridge, kettle, soap, shampoo, body lotion, tea, coffee, ac and personal fan and safety deposit box.
