Not five star! Location convenient for some but area is quite tired. I provided most feedback privately to hotel, as prompted - I did not receive a response. Front office experience needs work. Check-in took longer than expected. While at reception desk, a ladder was set nearly on top of me to change a light bulb. Another team member slammed the phone down…oh no. My reservation had an early check in / late check out / upgrade which was not noted. My room was unavailable so I waited c. an hour. My bag was taken from me when I arrived but not brought to room on check-in as assured - I waited but eventually had to ring reception. I requested a quiet room on booking. Bizarrely, I was put beside a public guest bathroom so I could hear people/taps/flushing/shower from there and guest room beside me. Overhead, floorboards creaked loudly as guests walked around their room. I appreciate it is an old building but Roseate needs to soundproof. The room itself was comfortable and spacious. However, scuff marks on the walls and water damage to bath surround need attention. When I arrived home at c 10.30pm, I noticed no one at the door or reception. I can only assume the man near the staircase was staff - not good enough as a solo traveller and my room on the ground floor. Finally, I was told on arrival my room was prepaid and, again, no further charges due on check-out. I discovered unauthorised charges to my card after - no correspondence or receipt at checkin/out. Unacceptable.

Whirlwind 1 night stay to visit our daughter in London

We arrived in London by train from York at 8:00 am - went to the Royal Park in the hope of being able to leave our luggage until check in time at 2:00 pm. We were greeted on the hotel steps by Mathilde, provided with complimentary drinks and were delighted to be told our room was actually ready. Fantastic, that effectively gave us an extra half day and allowed us to unpack while we waited for our daughter to travel across London to meet us at the hotel. We used room service 3 times and it was wonderfully quick on each occasion. The following morning we checked out and were able to leave our luggage again whilst we went off around Hyde Park and Notting Hill for the day. The staff were just as attentive on our departure as at our arrival. It was our first experience of the hotel, and its location for the Parks and the city centre is perfect - close enough for quick easy access but far enough removed from the hoi polio to be peaceful.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top! Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Zimmer eher klein aber gut ausgestattet. Aber leider noch mit dickem Teppich (Hygiene?).

Royal stay

The Royal Park is a very nice hotel located in the beautiful Bayswater area. It is just a couple of steps from Paddington station (3 min walk) which makes it a perfect hub for city expeditions. The friendly reception staff was welcoming and helpful. But I prefer not to be asked what I've did or what I plan to do every time when leaving or returning to the hotel. Unfortunately, they did not offer an upgrade as ebookers VIP hotels usually do... However, the room was nice and clean but rather small (standard room). And the hotel is badly soundproofed. All steps and words from above and next door were audible. The view of the mews was amazing from the second floor. And there was no noise from the outside which was a treat. All in all, the hotel is a great choice and in my case very good value for money. Amazing location and daily delicious homemade cookie refill, kettle and coffee machine included.

Gemütliches, kleineres 4-Stern Hotel in sehr guter Lage. Ausgezeichnetes Continental Breakfast Sehr freundliches Hotelpersonal Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber U-Bahnstationen in unmittelbarer Nähe (5 Min.)

Tolles Hotel an guter Lage

Können wir nur empfehlen, Personal, Ausstattung, Charme und Lage sind top. Wir hatten 307 und eine ruhige Hoflage. Und hat der Blick in den Hof mit den kleinen alten Reihenhäusern sehr gefallen. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist zwar klein, dafür von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Frühstück reservieren das im kleinen Salon nicht alle Gäste auf einmal Platz finden!
