Wonderful and very attentive staff....top marks for their helpfulness. Very good breakfast and breakfast facilities- shame I had to rush off and couldn't really relax to enjoy it. On the down side....minor things 1) was the noisiness of next-door pub (Saturday night revelries!) 2) was the bed - I am not always a great sleeper and could not entirely relax due to next day's challenges ahead. This is common to lots of hotels: not enough 'weight' in bed over-sheets, plus they always tuck the sheets right hard under the mattress so you can't pull them out a bit and adjust the top sheet over your head and shoulders, as you'd like. Pillows, although I used an extra one from wardrobe, too yielding (I like firm, plumped up pillows). As a consequence, I had a very poor night's sleep indeed. At least, the room was not overheated, which was a plus. The above said, this did not mar the overall hotel experience - though sorry, I don't feel able to give it 'excellent' grading

they don’t do the cookies anymore and just it was overwhelmingly meh i’ve stayed before and i definitely enjoyed it more a few years ago has a gone a bit downhill you don’t get much for what you’re paying for

The staff are incredible. I had a foot injury on the 2nd day there and the front lobby staff were incredibly helpful in getting me some ice and some medicines from the nearby stores. I would like to thank Robin, one of the night lobby staff on March 28th, who surprised me with her helpfulness and willingness to find solutions! Thank you, Robin! It's employees like you who give Hilton such a great name! And a brand I trust. I typically stay at this Hilton whenever I come to London for business every quarter. Thanks, Robin! And thanks, Hilton!

I checked out after the first of a 3 night stay . I was put in a adjoing room which was noisy , it stunk of smoke , it was tired , the food was awful , very disappointed for a doubletree . I would request a refund please . I stay away a lot for business and find the Hilton hotels generally good but this one was not to their usual standard by a long way .

We stayed in this location for a total of 10 nights. The good: location was great, room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was a good size. However, we did encounter some problems. From minor to major: 1. housekeeping was not good about restocking the tea tray and bathroom. We ran out of tissues and set the empty box on the sink. It was removed but not replaced. The conditioner bottle in the shower was empty. Tea sachets, milk, and sugar were not replaced despite obviously being used. 2. In both rooms, the mini fridge seemed not to work. 3. Elevators can only be accessed using room keys, but the readers did not work well. We had to have staff replace our keys every other day. According to another regular guest, this has been a long standing problem. 4. During our first week (3/12-20), we were awakened after 11 pm by very loud knocking. We thought it was the room above or adjacent to us. We repeatedly called the front desk but got no answer. When my husband went downstairs, he discovered (along with other angry guests) that they were replacing floor tiles in the lobby. They acknowledged that people were complaining. They admitted to not answering the phones after numerous complaints. And they seemed reluctant to stop the hammering and chiseling that was reverberating through the building. They finally agreed to stop, but the noise restarted and continued for another hour. I know repairs need to be done, but late at night in a hotel full of sleeping patrons is crazy.
