This is the perfect quiet retreat for the creative. The house is extraordinarily well appointed with all needed appliances, coffee, a full sized fridge, stove, oven and even a washer/dryer. If you’re visiting and temps are under 20, request the space heater though, but they had a massive pile of blankets. The bed is FIRM and low. That works for me because I’m old and short. I slept AMAZINGLY but if you’re over 5’7” or so the sleeping loft might be a challenge. Unless you’re used to 5’ ceilings lol. There is PLENTY of space in the middle and the cute dresser and nice hanging area in front of the window had tons of closets. This isn’t close to many amenities and the grocery store in Albion isn’t particularly well stocked when it comes to meat but the produce was very good quality and tasty. I’d stop at the Meijer in Jackson if you’re coming west. Or somewhere else coming from th Chicago area. The shower and bathroom are again so cute, everything worked perfectly, and the shower was a mini retreat!! Amazing showerhead, really hot water (just the way I liked it) and a long ledge for the everything shower devotees! Other than a snowblower and a truck starting up a few times (and the two big dogs who are well controlled indoor dogs and I barely knew were there), the property is perfectly isolated (while being 10’ from the main house lol) allowing privacy, peace, and my creative retreat was MUCH ENJOYED. I would’ve stayed a week if my kids weren’t asking if I was coming home
