As soon as we opened the door the smell of urine hits us. The smoke detector was wrapped in plastic. The bathroom floor tile was cracked and broken. The ceiling was cracking and the door was broken, hard to close. We put our name on the list to have the room cleaned and they lost it. We were told when checking in we could get hot water and coffee all day and night, but when we tried to get hot water for coco we were told it was behind locked doors and they couldn't get it. Carpet was stained and holes in it. Overall pretty bad. I wouldn't stay there again.

It’s a nice hotel. Room is okay, breakfast also. But it’s far away from everything, no shops, no restaurants. At least there is a hotel shuttle available.

Wonderful Staff, Good Location

Good location on Ship Creek. Close to the train station with free shuttle service to the train station and airport. Since it was winter, the shuttle was also more available to take us to restaurants and pickup locations for tours. During summer they are on more airport runs and a bit less available. Very handy! About the only downside was that the pancake maker in the breakfast room was out of order. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! They made our stay great!

The property is going through a reno, so there is construction everywhere. Our room was super dingy and dusty. The area is removed and isolated. Staff was amazing.

Surrounded by trains

The hotel itself was fine and the staff were excellent. The downside to this hotel is that it sits between two railroad stations and train whistles are blowing all day and all night. If you're going to stay at this hotel, either accept that you WILL be woke up regularly by trains or plan to bring heavy duty ear plugs.

Overall, we did not have any issues with the property, but it is dated. It is very convenient to the ULU store, and the snow carving contest was right across the street. It was convenient for activities and easy to get in/out of. It is also only about 20 minutes from the airport. Breakfast was included, and satisfactory.

Do NOT stay here!

This hotel needs serious overhaul. Rooms are smelly, stained, worn down, and moldy. Upon check in, and initial inspection of the room before unpacking all our belongings, we found all of the above listed concerns. Less than 20 minutes after checking in, I was coughing due to the mold exposure. Mold was all over in a few places. There was dirt and grime all over everything, stained walls, floors, and furniture. Beds were falling apart, bathroom smelled terrible, grout was molding and in some spots non-existent, tiles were cracked, and the other furniture was very worn down. Upon observing the pool, it was so cold people could not swim in it. After those 20 minutes I went to the front desk with my concerns. The only response I got was “sorry.” No attempt to correct the issues. I had to make the decision to check out and quickly find another place for my child and I to stay that night. More than disappointed in the entire experience. Photos attached are immediately after I checked in.

The rooms are very outdated. Had a bad odor in the room like dog pee and human pee. The furniture was all chewed on. Under the beds was so gross. Definitely not a clean place. If you have a certain hotel chain you usually stay at continue with them not here.

The reservation date for that hotel is Feb 6-8/25

We did not stay or check in on the date that we reserved for some reasonable happen but im called them ( wingate by wyndam hotel in Anchorage to resheduled to different dated. Many times that I called about it but they said that they are going to call me back, but until now no response.

Caution, book only for a CHANCE to stay here

We didn’t actually make it. Had a reservation, confirmed that we would be able to check in late because our flight landed after midnight. But, when we got in and called for the shuttle, they told us they were overbooked and couldn’t honor the reservation. Spent over an hour with the hotels.com customer service only for them to tell us, yes, the hotel was overbooked, no they couldn’t find us an alternative, but not to worry they’ll cancel our reservation at no charge to us. Really? You’re not going to charge us for a service you didn’t actually provide. That’s great. We spent the night on a dirty airport floor. I got 3 hours of sleep before I could pick up my car from the dealership where it was being worked on. And then I had to stay awake enough to drive 4 hours home. I do not want to book a room for a chance that I might get a place to sleep. That is absurd. I reserve a room, I expect it to be reserved. Especially since they will charge me regardless of whether I show up or not. They charge late cancellation fees too. I wish I could charge a fee for them canceling on me at 1am and leaving me stranded at the airport with my daughter.

I have stayed at this hotel two times. My check-in experience both times were very similar. both times the front desk host has claimed they needed to run upstairs to check to see if the room is clean the first time multiple people walked past me in the hallway as I get off the elevator I walk into the room and it smells like weed and looks unclean. I obviously asked for a different room. tonight same thing, the host runs upstairs to check to see if the room is clean, comes back down gives me the key and says he will be up with my sheets. He claims that the maid just didn't have time...it is 9:30 PM.. so here I am at 10:15 at night making my own bed. I'm tired and there are no pillowcases. Also two pillows are laying on a dirty couch crumbs and all, one pillow is on the nightstand which clearly hasn't been wiped off. Has sticky stuff on it. The other pillow is on top of their heater. Maybe other people might be OK with this, but I absolutely will not stay here again.
