The Landing Spot on Clearwater Lake

Once you arrive at The Landing Spot, you'll know you are in the right place. This lake cabin sits on the northeast side of the east bay of Clearwater Lake. The property has roughly 70 feet of lake shore and is quietly nestled on the hilltop offering spectacular views of the lake.

The cabin has an open floor plan. You will be able to relax comfortably during your stay. The main bedroom has a queen bed with a 40" HDTV. The second bedroom boasts a double bed and single over twin bunk bed and includes a Smart TV for the kids and adults. The lower level, while unfurnished, provides a washer and dryer for use. A reverse osmosis system (RO) and water softener were recently installed for cleaner/safer water.

Talk to your friends and family while they relax at the table as you prepare meal in the kitchen with several modern day appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator w/ice maker and RO water dispenser). Or you can simply enjoy the views of the lake as you grill and dine on the patio.

There is plenty of room to unwind in the living room while you watch the 55' smart HDTV or stream music. The Landing Spot has free WiFi available. Streaming services such as DirecTV, Hulu/Disney/ESPN+, Amazon Prime, Apple TV are all included.

At just shy of one acre, you'll have plenty of space to park and participate in outdoor activities. Relax near the fire after a day on the water or enjoying a round of golf at one of the nearby courses. The Landing Spot has outdoor games available such as ladder golf and corn hole. And inside, find plenty of board games and puzzles for the kids.

The opportunity to enjoy the water is the highlight of staying at The Landing Spot. Clearwater lake is one of the top lakes in Minnesota boasting 3,500 acres of beaty and recreation. Great for fishing, water skiing, or just cruising. A large Maui Mat and spacious dock are available for recreational use. The owner also has a 23' R-Series 2019 Bennington Pontoon with a 300 hp outboard motor for rent upon request (experienced boaters only please). The public access is close by for ease of launching your own boat with plenty of dock space for mooring, or you can just pull up on the sandy beach.

Recent upgrades and additions include water softener, RO drinking water system, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and refrigerator with water dispenser and ice maker... and for the kids and adults, a springless trampoline and basketball hoop.
During your stay at this cabin, you'll be close to Suconnix Wildlife Management Area. Laundry facilities are available. The cabin offers free WiFi and a kitchen.

We had a great time at the cabin. Joe was a great host. Little things like help yourself to the garden, s’mores and coffee . A nice personal touch to our stay. Grandkids love the dock area and the lake was super clear. No dog days on Clearwater lake. We will be back!

This is a poorly maintained property that also needs a professional deep cleaning. The furniture is well past its prime (living room furniture was deplorable and needs replacing; the bunk bed is not stable; the lower mattress in the bunkbed room sinks in the middle making it uncomfortable for two people.) The linens did not seem fresh and the towels were threadbare with strings. There is no outlet or fan in the bathroom. The electronic keypad didn't seem to work and the door was wide open when we arrived. The wood deck around the house and the steps to the water have plenty of soft spots. There were so many of the owner's personal effects present (food, clothing, and hygiene items), it felt like the owner lives there and just left for the weekend.

Cute Cabin

The cabin was cute and accommodating. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and taking in the lake view and wildlife in the quiet atmosphere. Plenty of extras including pillows and blankets. WiFi worked great and lots of television channels. Hot water and good pressure. Stacked washer/dryer combo in the basement worked fine for us. I appreciated that the kitchen cabinets were labeled to easily find what we needed too. Owner was very responsive and hospitable.

Fun MN Cabin

Joe has a nice little cabin with all the fun stuff you need for the family - water trampoline, Maui Mat, bags, ladder golf, bikes and board games. His lakeshore is nice and shallow for the kids to play in for hours. There are little sunnies off the dock and we had good luck fishing every morning. The welcome note and smores and popcorn was a nice touch. It was a great family getaway!

Peaceful summer retreat

My family of 5 plus the dog enjoyed this property immensely. Beautiful lake, clean and bright home with good fishing, evening bon fire, pontoon ride for an extra treat and floating relaxation. The hosts made it easy to enjoy and check out for a few days. We had a bright moon, great weather and extra helpings of nature. Thanks Melsha family for sharing your slice of heaven.

Not worth the price

The positives are the lake is nice. Unfortunately it was not worth it. Over $2k for less than a week. (My bf and I came to visit my family) When we entered the property it smelled like gas so we had to open all the doors and windows which lead to many mosquitoes off the bat. We considered renting the boat which was offered at $450 a day plus $100 cleaning fee and $750 deposit. I live on a lake myself and have a boat- that’s absurd pricing for Annandale, MN (the marinas pricing was $190 a day and $500 deposit- save your money) The host showed up the Saturday afternoon around 12pm and didn’t leave until 8 pm. He sat outside gardening while my friends and I were outside trying to talk but felt uncomfortable with him being there. We ended up leaving early and days later he sent unnecessary text messages. I would not recommend, the overall experience was not worth it. There isn’t even a dishwasher and despite the cleaning fee- they leave a note encouraging you to wash the dishes and wash towels / bed sheets. No thank you- not to mention they entered the property with more towels (we didn’t ask for more) so I’m certain they don’t actually rely on guests to do these chores and I would hope so. Most hosts hire cleaners, hence the cleaning fee and rightfully so … I would not feel comfortable staying in a home where a professional cleaner didn’t tidy up the place.
