The staff was friendly, the bed was fairly comfortable and the food was ok. This is the only good thing I have to say. I had family from out of town and I was embarrassed. The locks were not working and my guest had to get a new key every time they left their rooms bc it would only work one time! The wall paper was peeling and the walls were crumbling. There were ants in one room and there was no exhaust to take the stream from the bathroom leaving the entire room smelling musty. The windows need better sound insulation as the street was very noisy all night. We had to switch rooms bc when we turned a light on it blew out all the electricity in the room.

The desk clerk, Traci, was super! She greeted us whenever she saw us and offered to help with anything we needed. Honestly the only problem was the room. It had water damage on the ceilings, paint and huge scuffs on the wall and that made it seem sort of seedy.

When checking in, we were told that the pool doesn’t open until the middle of May. That was not listed on any booking site for this hotel and was the main reason we booked here. Close to the Zoo, Aviation Museum, shopping and restaurants. Our room was infested with ants, we had to throw our toothbrushes away as they were covered. We woke up this morning to at least 200 ants all over the bathroom counter for no apparent reason. The smell of weed throughout the 2nd floor and lobby was insane at night and kids all around having to breathe that in. Our refrigerator made a horrible noise all night long also.

Our room smelled like cigarette smoke the moment we walked in. The bathroom door was unable to be locked because the latch was broken out of the door. The tv remote would turn the tv on, and volume would work but you couldn't change the channel. Also, the shower did not provide hot water, barely luke warm. I coughed for half of the next day as I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked and we were not able to get another room. Expected at least a clean, working room for $190 a night.
