Large Modern Farmhouse on 3 acres 7 minutes from downtown

A Million Dollar Modern day Arts and Crafts fused Farmhouse awaits you literally less than 7 minutes out of downtown, amm while being nestled in the cozy countryside. This house sits on almost 3 acres and was built with numerous large windows where the outside and all of it's beauty is warmly invited in.
Whether inside the house or out on one of the two large decks that total almost 3,000 square feet, the chance of seeing deer, turkey or the occasional bear is strong. With enough outdoor seating to accompany more than 12 people, comfort is a focus while offering the guests enough space to not feel crowded. The upper deck offers both a covered sitting and grilling area, while the downstairs deck offers a little more privacy with a 8 person hot tub that is always going and is more than inviting.
The house was designed with a main floor open concept so that there is always an easy way of sharing good conversations as well as the frequent good laughs shared amongst good people. The gas stone fireplace that goes 30' up from floor to ceiling is a warm draw for all, especially when lounging on one of the couches or loveseats that adorn the room. And if one wants to disappear for a minute or two, there is a reading room just off the main living room.
Breaking bread is always important to do with everyone, and the large dining room has a 12' dining table where everyone can gather together to share heart felt stories.
The lower level offers a completely different and separate living area that invites others to sit at the built-in bar while maybe watching some sports on one of the two large flatscreen tv's, or maybe witnessing a competitive game of air hockey between friends. The large L shaped couch offers 'fall asleep comfort', especially when the lower fireplace is on.

This house was fantastic!! Layout is great and so spacious. Clean and fresh smell along with a beautiful kitchen that was fully stocked with everything you might need. Drinking coffee on the porch every morning was relaxing as the family of turkey and deer explored. Right off the interstate making getting to downtown Asheville quick but tucked away and peaceful. George was so attentive and came to the house quickly after a TV didn’t work. Communication was spot on. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful house but discrepancies in the listing

This is a beautiful home about a 20-25 minute drive to downtown Asheville. The photos are accurate and the house has a lot of space. George the owner is great, but the listing has various discrepancies. The listing said the check out was 11 AM, but we were told we should leave by 10 AM on the day of checkout. The listing says that up to two pets are allowed, but we were told that they didn’t want pets and asked to pay a fee. We have stayed in VRBO homes that have more amenities (for example there wasn’t any soap or shampoo in the showers) but given the challenges in the aftermath of hurricane Helene it is understandable that some things were lacking.I would recommend a stay here as long as you confirm in advance with the owner some of the specifics of the listing.

Amazing family home in nature and close to town

My three best girlfriends, their husbands and children all came to stay at this beautiful property for a week at the end of July beginning of August. It was exactly as described if not better and George the owner was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the stay before, and after as well! He is just truly a gem. The property is beautiful – there’s a little creek man-made around the front of the house that my four-year-old would not stop playing in… We saw so many creatures in the wild! Rabbits, turkey, deer even a family of bears! It was really wonderful. I would recommend this property to anyone. There was enough space to where you didn’t feel like you were all on top of each other and also were able to hang out together comfortably. The back deck was wonderful. The huge yard was amazing!

Great stay & host!

Visited Asheville to celebrate a good friend's upcoming wedding. First time for myself and most of the friends I traveled with... the place was excellent and in a good location; easy enough to get Ubers to and from downtown. George also made the check-in process super easy and was incredibly helpful. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area with a group!

Amazing updated home that accommodated our large group of 12. Lot's of outdoor space, natural light, and a quick 13-minute drive or Uber or Lyft to downtown Asheville. The host was super responsive, helpful, and friendly. Highly recommend!

Excellent location, house, and host

George was the best host that I have encountered on Vrbo. He was extremely responsive to questions before and during our stay, and made the entire process seamless. The house itself was perfect for our large group (12 people) and had more than enough space for everyone. The indoor space was clean and well-kept, and the outdoor space had room for really any activity that we wanted. As for the location, it took us about 10minutes, plus or minus 2 minutes, to get to the busier areas of Asheville (downtown and South Slope). It was the perfect mix of mountainside, with the ability to be in the thick of the city in no time at all. Would recommend George and this house to anyone!

Great balance between country and downtown

The property is located a short drive from Asheville, but in a neighborhood and on a property lot that is very spacious and gives you plenty of room to roam outdoors. The house is very open and perfect for groups and families (especially if you have kids). Owner is very responsive. 10/10 enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location/property

Great location… on a culdesac road…very quiet…property was very accurately described…huge kitchen and gathering space,outside two level decks perfect for relaxing,ten adults in the house and we were all very comfortable.. big house… lots of space…very clean..George the owner was very gracious and accommodating… very prompt with responses to our questions and had great recommendations for dining,golf,sight seeing,etc…location is less than 10 minutes to downtown Asheville, and about 5 minutes from great little town of Weaverville… must see the Biltmore Estate, Mt Mitchell, great sports bar The Village Porch(Tuesday Trivia Night)… Yellow Mug(breakfast) in Weaverville and the Twisted Laurel also in Weaverville… can’t go wrong with any of them…bottom line… don’t miss out on this property.

We had a fairly large group, and everybody had a great time! There was plenty of room for everybody both inside and out. The location was great as well… Close to Asheville,Weaverville, and Marshall. Would recommend!

Birthday Celebration

We had a birthday celebration and family came in from all parts of the U.S. The location worked out great. The house had everything we needed with plenty of room for everyone.
