This was my second visit to Sonesta Gwinnett as I was very impressed with first stay. Not sure if I would return to this location. Staff and check in was good and quick to process. Upon exiting the elevator, the floor visibly looked unkept as it needed vacuuming and stains in carpet. Room was okay but skirt on bed was stained. Very disappointed as I love its location.

This hotel is so loud! They need lots of updates, the plumbing is terrible and it was impossible to rest due to the constant noise coming from inside the building. They definitely shouldn't be charging that much money

I checked in late, around 11:00 PM. The reception staff were rude. While I was waiting to check in, there were two staff members at the front desk who were just chatting and laughing. There was no clear communication or instruction from the staff to the guests. The room smells musty, and the floor feels damp.

As my husband and I waited behind a young man checking in the attendant made no effort to acknowledge us. As in a smile or "I will be with you shortly". When she did check us in she was in no way friendly or cordial. We were out most of the next day and I was surprised that our room had not been touched. The next morning I asked the attendant at the front desk to be sure our room was cleaned. When we returned around 4pm, the room across the hall was being cleaned. Since it was so late in the day and we were back I told the housekeeper it wasn't necessary to clean the room. But, I did request a fresh set of towels. She did not leave any. So I called Housekeeping and requested fresh towels. I asked when I could expect them and was told within an hour. The towels were never delivered. I hung up our already damp towels as I knew we would have to use them again! The coffee pods were not replenished and I went down to front desk. There was a supply of them and I was told to get what I needed. Our stay was for 3 nights in Room 517. The room was never cleaned and supplies were not restocked. There was a water leak in the hall in front of our room that required a number of dehumidifiers and large buckets to remedy. Strong mildew smell but thankfully it did not filter into our room. It was not all bad-- beds were comfortable and had nice linens. This facility is pretty old and in need of updates. I would definitely not book another stay here.
