Because of a circuit breaker problem, we didn't have electricity/lights in the bathrooms, deck and outside railing. The maintenance guy came and spent two hours but couldn't fix it.

Good Location

Great location, not far from bridge to mainland and close to beach and pier. Steep driveway presented some parking challenges with our boat but were manageable. Check in process was manual, having to pick up key but office is close. Electronic lock would be a nice add for both check in/out process and being able to go to the beach with needing a key or worry about losing it. Place was clean and everything worked, except could not get ice maker working.

The house was in a great location! Very close to the beach. It was a cute place, kitchen was nicely updated. The floors are in some serious need of replacing, and the cleanliness wasn’t what it should be.

Great location with some sacrifices

The location of the property is undoubtedly its greatest asset. However, several issues detracted from our stay. The shower curtain was unpleasantly slimy with soap scum, indicating a need for better cleaning. The screen door repeatedly fell off—at least once a day—and the back door lacked a screen entirely. The Samsung TV was difficult to operate, and we were unable to log into our streaming accounts like Netflix or Hulu, as Vacasa informed us this feature was not available at this property. Additionally, while the kitchen is functional, it is only suitable for minimal cooking. Overall, while the location was ideal, the experience was less than ideal.

Beautiful home but needs more attention to cleaning

The home was beautiful and pretty true to the photos and description. There were quite a few things needing some tlc throughout the home but nothing that affected our comfort during the stay. The rooftop deck is still boarded up for repairs and the downstairs neighbors will have their furniture blocking a tiny bit of the parking space but not a huge issue. The home was well equipped with linens, toiletries and kitchenware. We brought our own bedding and toiletries as well as cleaning supplies. For the amount you are charged for a cleaning fee, I’m sad to say that the management handling that was not up to par. I had to clean hair from the fridge and tub, I pulled a spatula from the container of utensils on the counter that had dried egg on it and we used their blanket over top our thin bed blanket only to find that it had dried urine on it from someone’s pet. It was a very large spot that would have easily stuck out in plain sight but they had flipped the blanket over so we didn’t see it until it was too late. I laundered it so we could still use it the remaining nights and the spot came right out so that means it was never laundered between visitors which makes me kind of sick to my stomach to think about that. There was also a lot of hair and dust between the headboard slats that is right at head level so I had to thoroughly clean that before putting our personal sheets and pillows on the bed. But again, that’s a cleaning issue and not anything bad about the home itself.

Could have been better

The house was cute and in a really nice close location to a nice public access to the beach but I’d probably not stay here again. This home is managed by Vacasa and you have to stop by an office to get keys to check in nothing was mentioned about that in the listing or even the check in instructions I was sent I saw it in a review and had to ask about it. Not a huge deal but not very convenient. I booked this house literally called “the crows nest” only to find out the upper deck on the top of the house was boarded off where you couldn’t use it. The tvs in the bedrooms weren’t working but the office was very responsive in sending someone out to fix that. The interior flooring was soft in multiple places and would even crack when you stepped on it and the shower head water sprayed so erratically there was water in the floor no matter what you did. The house was stocked with some items but many things I had to go purchase on my own including more paper products and laundry detergent they included 3 laundry pods but for a family of 6 staying a week it wasn’t enough. Overall it was ok the porches on the front and back were very nice the place itself was beautiful and the rooms were spacious but I won’t pick this place to stay again.

Great location and lovely rental .. loved everything and the cute touches like dish soap and shampoos .. the decor was spot on .. decks and beach accessories were plentiful .. the upper sun deck was not currently accessible due to issues with the staircase which are being taken care of and for us that was really the only negative of the week but it was not a big issue .. overall this was a great accommodation at a great price and so perfect for a beach vacation .. our dogs were even allowed on the beach and that was a super fun plus !! Would recommend this listing 100%

We had a great time, good location close to the beach, clean, very well stocked to meet all our needs for home and beach. There was a little confusion with the online directions and the actual checkin process, but all cleared up in the chat.

Cute place, poor management

The Crows Nest was a cute condo, great value, perfect location and had just about everything we needed for a long weekend. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for Vacasa. Their check-in/check-out process is a pain and while they appear to be concerned with your satisfaction they do no follow-up. Upon our arrival, my daughter hit her foot on a popped nail on the deck. I get that stuff happens but there was A LOT of blood involved so when I tried to get everything cleaned up, there was nothing for me to do it with. I started wiping the floors with windex and paper towels only to discover the floors were filthy, not even sure when the last time was they were mopped. I called Vacasa on Friday, to request assistance with the nail, as there were no tools in the house to allow me to fix it, they didn't call back until Sunday morning. I had already tracked down a hammer myself and fixed it by that time. When I text Vacasa about the filthy floor, they kept asking for pictures, which I kept sending but they never dropped anything off for me to clean the floors with. Our experience was unfortunate because had it not been for Vacasa, I probably would stay here again.
