Welcome to the Hummingbird House where the joy of Lake Austin is in your backyard. If you are looking to get out on the water or explore Austin, our furnished bungalow provides everything you need for a relaxing stay. The property consists of a main home and a detached guest house. Outside, there's a zen garden with hanging chairs, a hammock, a dining table, and a fire pit. Walk out the gate in the backyard to a secluded, public park on the banks of the pristine, constant level, Lake Austin.

The property consists of a main house as well as a detached guest house, both homes are included in this listing.

★Enjoy full access to the entire property- Main house, detached guest house, front and back yard. However, the garage is reserved for owner use.

★The driveway can accommodate up to four vehicles or 2 vehicles and one boat. There is one additional off-street parking space in the front of the home.

Additional Items to Note:

If you'd like to bring your own motorboat or jet skis our driveway will accommodate boat parking. Motorized Boats can be launched on to Lake Travis from Mansfield Dam Park (5 min drive) or on Lake Austin at Selma Hughes Park (15 min drive) or reach out to us about options for chartering a boat.

Nearby, there are plenty of fabulous restaurants, great destinations and unique attractions. You can enjoy the scenic view at the legendary Oasis, meet Brisket the cow at Planet Rock Distillery or enjoy some indoor entertainment at High Five. The property is in a great location with a quiet neighborhood, but convenient to restaurants and shopping. The accommodations were just the right size for our family and we enjoyed the roomy kitchen and counter space. The patio and backyard were great along with a easy walk to the lake.

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at the Hummingbird House while celebrating my son’s 21st birthday. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the house was fully stocked with kitchen supplies and bathroom essentials. We loved relaxing on the patio swings, and the paddleboards were a highlight. The location was perfect, tucked away yet close to BOTH Lake Austin and Lake Travis, with restaurants and stores nearby. The host’s helpful tips made everything even easier. This home was exactly what we were hoping for, and we’d definitely stay again!

Not at all like the listing

We are a mom, dad and two special needs kiddos (both under the age of 6, neurodivergent and non-verbal). We came to town to visit with family and rented the Hummingbird house that lists itself as a three bedroom, 1.5 bath home. The reality is that the property is ACTUALLY a 2 bedroom home, with a living room, kitchen and bath and a SEPARATE garage apartment that has an additional sitting room, bedroom and half bath. What an absolute and complete nightmare for us. Our special needs son ended up having to sleep on the sofa and had a severe allergic reaction to all of the pet dander in the velvet couch. His eyes were swollen shut for three days. Sadly we could not in safety or good conscience utilize the garage apartment, cause who's gonna let their special needs child sleep separately from the adults?? Not to mention the house was not clean...the bathroom tile is disgustingly black and moldy. the giant cockroaches that infest the entire house made it absolutely horrific for us and the garden was so horrifically unkept that our kids were attacked by a million mosquitos. To add injury to insult after we vacated the property, I was contacted by the owner accusing me and my family of leaving pet fecal matter on the carpets and destroying the blinds. Ummmmm yeah - interesting, considering we don't have a dog. Stay away...not a good home, not a great experience. Rent elsewhere.

Near lake, quiet neighborhood

Great neighborhood with the cutest hanging chairs outside to relax in. The loop around the neighborhood is perfect for walking the dog. Park access with basketball goal and play area right behind back yard (just go thru gate). Kitchen had plenty of spices and more than enough room for cooking. Short walk to the lake, limited parking if taking vehicle (to lake access). Would definitely stay again!

Perfect spot to getaway

Exactly what you are looking for if you are wanting to have fun and relax with friends and family. Paddle boards and kayaks are great, and the walk to the lake is short. Highly recommend!
