Such a nice, clean, quiet stay! Room was beautiful with a huge jet bathtub! Heater worked great as it was cold out! The whole place has great character and a warm and welcoming feel! Would definitely recommend.

The staff was outstanding! Lisa was there to greet us and she was so . The facility has a place to store your luggage until check in time and that was so convenient and gave us the chance to walk around town without worry! I’ ill definitely go back!

Surely the renovation will improve things

Upon checking in, I was impressed with the atmosphere. The courtyard is beautiful with a fire pit in the middle. A coffee nook with complimentary snacks and beverages like pastries, tea, OJ and yogurt was open 24/7. There was a bottle of red wine with 2 glasses ready to enjoy in our clean room. Customer service was spot on and I really felt like my needs mattered to each staff member I interacted with. On our first morning we accidentally spilled coffee on our sheets and housekeeping came to change them right away, we really appreciated that. However, the property is definitely in need of the renovation the new owners are currently doing. I specifically booked my room for the jetted tub, which stopped working half way through my trip-the faucet was already on it’s last leg being that it is loose in the wall, and when filling the tub the valve wasn’t fully functioning, making it impossible to turn off the shower head completely and direct the water to run through the tub faucet. It was difficult to get hot water and the temperature was mostly lukewarm throughout our stay. On the last night, I ran a bath and was unable to get the water temperature warm enough, plus the jets would not turn on at all-I was super disappointed because the jetted tub was the selling point when I booked this room. The most uncomfortable part was the bed-the mattress was rock hard and pillows were worn out, I hardly slept the entire trip and woke up in pain. Our experience was just ok overall.

We really liked the room and large bathroom…however there was little to no hot water. We were told what the problem was but it was not repaired before we left. The office was being renovated and was noisy starting at 7:30 am. The jacuzzi tub was not working which was disappointing.

Friendly service, Loud, Poor bathroom

The hotel was very convenient to the center of town and to the Run Catalina race I was running in. Due to the race weekend, I know hotel rates were inflated. However, I would have expected more for the $400/night that we spent on the room offseason. Eg, there were soap and shampoo dispensers but no conditioner. Again for the price, I think conditioner could have been included. Also, the shower was uncomfortable and messy. The shower curtain did not even cover to the base of the tub (shown in the photos). Why?? A proper length shower curtain costs all of $10. There were also slits in the curtain, which meant water got everywhere. If I was paying under $100/night for a room, maybe those things would have been acceptable. But if you're going to charge $400 a night, the shower experience could have been majorly improved upon with very little cost on the hotel's part. Our room was located on the exterior of the building, which meant a ton of street noise. We could hear everyone walking by as if they were in our room, which was annoying. Also there is an elevator right outside the room which sounded like an alarm going off when it was running. Please replace the old elevator or do not rent that room! It's so loud! The staff was very nice though and provided me with a toothbrush when I forgot mine. The hotel also accommodated an early check in which was unexpected and very nice.

The property in itself was nice but i think it was the conditions that made it not well cared for. Me and my partner struggled with our fridge leaking, the heater stopped working so they had to give us a portable heater, wifi barely working in our room, housekeeping never came by. The staff just told us that we had to take out our own trash and they provided us with bags and the same thing for the towels had to replace them ourselves and they would give us new ones. I think they should have at least passed every other day since our stay was for over a week. The room was looking really messy by the time we checked out.

Good location. Unfortunately after a 14 hour travel day we got off the ferry, walked to the hotel and found 2 other groups waiting to check in. There were no staff members in sight. No note saying they would be right back. No one answering the phone when we tried to call. After about 10 minutes someone finally showed up. The group before us had a “lost” reservation that took forever to remedy. We were staying 2 nights but our keys were only good for 1 night. The stairs to the courtyard were unsafe. The breakfast was incredibly meager and unhealthy. Poor choice of places to stay.
