Be prepared to walk up a hill with your luggage. Not located on “the flats” of Avalon. *Hotel itself appears to be 3 older buildings and 1 newer building. Assuming the newer building has the updated rooms shown on the website. Overall room was basic. Looks like they tried to renovate and update the space but it is lacking something. *AC works well, bed is comfy. *Bathrooms needs an overhaul. *Film on sliding door/entrance door needs to be updated. *Staff works really hard with what they have available. *Since this is a location a bit away from town, they would do really well if they offered food/nightly music/snacks&drinks for guests.

Surprising level of discomfort.

Bed was probably 40 years old and incredibly uncomfortable. mattress incredibly worn out and no support left. Room is dated, which was fine but the cleanliness and comfort was surprisingly low for the price. Location was great.

This is probably the worst room I have ever stayed in. I can not understate my level of disappointment. I am so embarrassed I brought my wife and daughters to stay here. The spare bed is absolutely rock hard and awful. There is absolutely nothing the staff had to make it less awful. The kitchen floor looks like it belongs to a drug-den flop house. The shower never got cleaned. It still had a used bar of soap and hair on the floor The TV speakers are blown. The actual unit’s dirty There was a rusty screw poking out of the wall in the hallway This place sucks We voiced our complaint the night we moved in. They didn’t check messages until 2pm, so they told us they wouldn’t refund the second day either cause they found out after check out time

Place is supper outdated. Only one wall cooler in living area. I had to ask for a fan for my room because it was so hot. Customer service was good very attentive and trying to help . The cable in the TV in the living room did not work fan in the restroom was super loud just super outdated the location

Needs some fixing

Location is nice, not in the very crowded area but still a few minute walk away from the restos and very near the Casino. The view from my room is breathtaking and worth the extra cost. The room was not well maintained, the door from the kitchen was falling apart, the main door was rusty at the bottom, the sofa bed had stains and one almost does not want to sit down, we covered it with towels as it looked really dirty, and once you sit you feel that it was breaking, during the night when the sofa bed was opened to be used as a bed, the feet part literally had no support, the wires holding it were not there, we had to put the pillows/cushions beneath the feet part just to avoid the lower body from being much lower than the head while sleeping. The terrace had the best view but the floor was not very stable.

Toilet brown around bottom and floor, shower ceiling moldy, refrigerator brown inside and out, stove from the 70’s would not trust it, tile throughout breaking, termite damage on patio, front windows cracked everywhere and scotch tapped, plugs loose won’t hold our chargers, beds hard uncomfortable, second bed had a set of wheels on the end like they stand it up and wheel it around but stuck out, steps walking In Are cracking and sagging, rug worn out,smelled old and dusty, The check in lady was super nice and held our luggage before check in that was very appropriated.

Super cool staff and I was chosen as the guest of the week and got a free upgrade, which is bigger than the apartment I live in here in Newport beach. The staff is super helpful and we will definitely be staying there again.

The only pros of this hotel is that the staff was very kind and friendly and it is in a good location to the main streets of Avalon. Besides that Disgusting hotel…where do I even begin? To start, you get charged a $15 a day “resort” fee upon arrival. For what, I have no idea. When I walked to the door of my room, it looked like someone tried to kick in, which is always a good sign. When I walked inside our room, I was shocked. Every possible thing that could be broken was broken. The outlets spark, the dishwasher was broken, the TV was broken, the Murphy bed was broken. The room is disgusting and dirty, the bathroom has tile and pieces of wall falling off. The “resort” has the nerve to ask to tip the housekeeping when the room appears to have never been cleaned. The bedroom has lamps plugged into no outlets that do not work. The A/C doesn’t work, the WiFi doesn’t work. There has been NO upkeep in this resort; this place is laughable. DO NOT STAY HERE. If I could give it a negative star review, I would. Stay somewhere else, I beg of you.
