Welcome to Dune Alright, hosted by Simple Life Rentals, an expansive home located near Baileys Harbor, with gorgeous views over the dunes to Lake Michigan.

This property offers an incredible value! Previously featured as sleeping 17, it has been reduced to 6 due to municipal restrictions. It's the perfect home for a group that wants to spread out and enjoy. This 5000 sq ft home is 3 stories with 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, 2 living rooms, a loft, and a 2 story fireplace. There are 2 decks overlooking the dunes, a boardwalk to the water, and an outdoor shower. Stay entertained with internet access, games, books, foosball and ping-pong!

Close to all Door County has to offer, just a few miles to Cave Point and Whitefish Dunes to the south, and just a few miles to the north you will find The Ridges, Hines Creek Nature Preserve, downtown Bailey's Harbor for dining and shopping. Stone's Throw Winery, Kangaroo Lake, and Cana Island Lighthouse are just a short drive!

Amenity + damage protection waiver includes:
-Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels. (Please bring your own beach towels)
-A starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue. One each of travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom.
-PEACE OF MIND Damage protection covers up to $1000 per stay for accidental damage that is reported prior to departure (excludes any pet damage).

This home is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors and municipal restrictions, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, weddings, or other gatherings.

Great house on the beach

We really enjoyed spending thanksgiving here! Plenty of room in the house for the kids to play, and the frozen beach was pleasant to visit briefly. This place would be amazing in the summer!

Beautiful Hideaway with easy access to Lake Michigan

Easy check-in process! There was some construction going on next door when we got there, but it was done within a couple hours. Beautiful walk way and great sleeping accommodations.

Relaxing and wonderful Door County

This was our annual pilgrimage to the quiet side. We were 3 adults along with a 10 and 12 year old. This large home makes a perfect home base for Door County, has beautiful water views, a large sandy dune area and a wonderful sandy beach. The beach is walkable and has a deck and bench overlooking it. Everyone greatly appreciated having the kayaks and paddleboard available- this added so much to our enjoyment of the lake! The outdoor shower was a fantastic amenity & really helped keep sand out of the house. And the ping pong and foosball tables were fun. There were a couple negatives- we had an issue with drain or fruit flies throughout the house. (We did not leave food or dishes out). Using the dryer requires throwing the breaker switch & replugging in the electric cord to get it going, which I discovered too late in our stay to mention to management. We would have liked a patio umbrella & more comfortable deck furniture. Otherwise we all had a wonderful time here and greatly enjoyed our visit.

Amazing house

We took our three kids and their families (grandkids: 9, 7, 5, 5, 4, 2, 1) to Door County with us for a few days vacation. This property was amazing! Very large house with lots of space for 8 adults and 7 kids. There was sand right outside the lower back door, just off the deck. The grandkids had a ball playing in the sand there and at our beach, which was just a short walk down the boardwalk! Everyone had a great time. A very relaxing setting! I recommend this property!

Beautiful Home on Lake Michigan

This home fit the needs for our family vacation. The grandkids enjoyed the “sandbox”, the adults the foosball and ping pong. Lake Michigan is always beautiful, but for some reason, it appeared all of the seaweed in the lake gathered at the shoreline in front of the house. It smelled bad and we were unable to swim there. We did walk down to swim further down the beach. The outdoor shower is nice. The house is in a great location for all of the Door County activities. Simple Life management does a good job.

Love the property, especially the beach access! Plenty of room inside. Pleasantly clean and well stocked. Could not get the front door keypad access to work. Outdoor wood deck could use power washing... Nice location to see Door County yet enjoy privacy!

Beautiful Ocean Feel property!

Lake Michigan is beautiful and the best thing about this property!! If feels like you’re on the east coast staying at the ocean! We jokingly called it the Wisc-Ocean. Water is shallow and Sandy for a ways out, so as a parent I was comfortable letting my kids play in it without a life jacket! House itself, besides the amazing bunk room, is outdated, but fine since you don’t spend much time inside! Only downside to this property is the location. It is on the outskirts of town where you have to drive to everything! I was deep down hoping it would be close enough to walk to town for coffee or happy hour! Overall, would go back because of the water accessibility! FYI - We had dryer issues, had to unplug it a few times to reset it before using it each time. The internet was also very spotty and kept going out on us. Again, no big deal since we didn’t want kids on devices.

Beautiful Lakeshore Getaway

The property is located in a remote but easily accessible wooded area right on a private Lake Michigan beachfront. Though secluded, the location is in close proximity to all of the Door County villages and hotspots. The view of the lake at dusk and dawn is amazing. The home is as described with great views and an upper and lower deck. Plenty of space and amenities. The walk-out basement is the perfect spot for hanging out, playing pingpong etc. The lakeside has a large sandy area for fire rings with a boardwalk to the lake just a hundred feet or less away. The outside shower was very convenient and helpful to get the sand off prior to coming in the basement entrance. The owners were friendly and communicative. We did not have any problems that required interaction beyond check-in and check-out. We would absolutely return at our next visit to Door County!

Very nice property for a family vacation

The house and lot were nicer than the pictures represented. Great access to the sandy beach, and we spent a lot of time in the water swimming and using the kayaks and paddleboards. Kiddos enjoyed the bunkroom in the basement, as well as the pingpong table. Perfect setup for a family get together... we grilled out on the deck and played games on the large kitchen table. No complaints and the only suggestions for improvements that we'd make would be to have a few more outdoor folding chairs and additional bath towels, but this is really a stretch and I almost hesitate to mention this given how perfect everything was!

Good Times Had

The home was a perfect layout for our family of 8 adults and 7 grandkids. The only negative is the entrance to the home needs work. It was covered in gnats and bugs and there was rotting wood. We used a broom to knock them all down before the rest of our family arrived. Not a deal breaker, just could’ve been cleaned up before our arrival.

Perfect for a Family Reunion

This home was perfect for our family reunion, which included 16 guests ranging in age from 10 to 50. The location right on Lake Michigan was spectacular and secluded. It's about 15 minutes from the home to the more touristy towns on the west side of the Door Peninsula. The home was clean and the space was plentiful, and communication with the rental agency was excellent.

Beautiful lakeside retreat!

We took a trip to Door County to celebrate my parent's 50th anniversary, and this place had the accommodations we needed for a larger group with several families. The house is located on a long, private driveway and has an expansive backyard with dunes, views of the lake, and a bonfire area. We went when it was still rather cool outside, so other than dipping toes it was not swimming weather. We had someone in our party who could not use the stairs, so having a main floor bathroom and two bedrooms was nice. It is important to note that the master bath is an en suite, so the upstairs bedroom must share with either the master bath or the main floor bath. There are two additional bathrooms downstairs with the bunk beds. It worked for us. The kitchen had all of the utensils, dishes, and some larger serving dishes as well as plenty of small appliances and a crockpot. We were happy with the amount of towels, extra bedding, etc., and the furniture was very comfortable. A couple of "room for improvement" items to note are that there was no cable or Roku upstairs and we had folks who couldn't go down steps. A Roku TV in the main living room is a must. Lastly, the dryer is a real issue. It kicked off at least 20 times where we needed to unplug and re-plug it.. I saw it mentioned in other reviews, so I would recommend getting it fixed or just replaced. It is too tight of a squeeze for some people to unplug several times a load. Thank you, and we really enjoyed our stay!!

Perfect Getaway

This house could not be better for a group of friends or family looking to get away. It has plenty of beds to fit all of its guest- my friends especially loved the bunk bed room. The house being right up against Lake Michigan is going to be so nice in the summer (our group has already started talking about planning the same trip in the warmer months here!). Fully stocked with anything you may want or need. Scott was always quick to respond and very helpful. I would recommend to anyone!
