Perfect for those wanting to explore the local area on foot, there are gates from the roof terrace which lead directly to a mature woodland, with immediate walks leading to Chatsworth Park, Baslow Edge, Birchen Edge and Yeld Wood.

Baslow village itself is much sought after, being located on the doorstep of the magnificent Chatsworth Estate, and benefiting from a well-stocked village shop, tearooms, good local pubs serving food and even a Michelin starred restaurant. Set in the heart of the Peak District National Park, the village is surrounded by magnificent countryside, and other pretty unspoilt towns and villages. The fascinating ‘plague village’ of Eyam can be reached in around 10 minutes, as can the thriving market town of Bakewell. Matlock and Matlock Bath, with its cable car ride to the Heights of Abraham, are just 20 minutes away, and the spa town of Buxton 30 minutes.
