5TH FLOOR NO ELEVATOR & rooms outdated

Warn guests when services are out of order. We were placed on the 5th floor with no working elevator. We had 2 fifty lbs. bags from traveling and they were not offering any accomodations until I frustratedly asked if there was anyone to help carry up these bags. My 60 year old mother had to climb up the stairs with a heavy back pack, too. We would have liked to be warned when we booked as to consider other options. However, we were told they could cancel our reservation which we had to decline due to all other hotels being booked.

Friendly folks, pleasant check-in and the room was adequately appointed (except shampoo). The disappointment came when I was advised that I would need to carry my luggage up 5 floors as the single elevator was broke. It remained out-of-service upon checkout this morning.

Everything was fine. Hotel needs some cosmetic upgrade (some screens damaged, older corners and edges of things throughout) but the rooms are in good shape, clean, current. Biggest issue is the elevator has been out for a month and a half and we didn't know until we checked in and were told that the only rooms available were on the 4th floor. I wish we wouldn't have known sooner that was definitely a bummer bringing in luggage.

Do not stay here!

I was traveling alone, and as a women traveling alone and having to take the stairs every night to get to the room with a door to outside in the stairway is not safe. The hotel looked like it was for long term housing for people and I did not feel comfortable staying. I left the next day and they would not refund me my money because I booked through hotels.com. I would not stay here not a good Environment.
Elevator not working
No lid and a tone of dust in the water area.
Trash being left outside the doors.
Anyone could grab you and take you out the side door, with no cameras.

They gave me a room already occupied. They key card actually opened up the door while occupied. I am disabled and was never notified that there was no working elevator and wouldn't be for 6 weeks. Just was a nightmare

Hotel was extremely dirty, stains on the pillows, walls, sweaty hand prints on the head boards, poop stains in bathroom. Hair in pillow cases and sheets and strange black specks all around. I even saw my smoke alarm was smothered/covered in toilet paper so people could smoke in the non-smoking rooms. Even found eminence of weed on the counters which don’t look like they were cleaned. Staff was friendly and gave me a new room which was just as bad if not worse. In addition, the elevator was broken and I had to carry all of my luggage up/down from the 5th and 3rd floors (which I know can happy and isn’t fully the hotels fault but still). The only positive thing was the staff and the shuttle service.

I liked the fact the receptionists regardless of arrival time were extremely helpful courteous and helpful. One problem was the length of time getting the elevator repaired. All in all, a very good place to stay.

Elevator out of service

Elevator was out of service and apparently had been out for a significant period due to construction. This was very inconvenient. Pervasive smell of marijuana throughout the property is gross.

The staff was nice, but the hallways smelled terrible like either some kind of bad disinfectant or marijuana! Also the elevator was out all 5 nights we were there! That’s just not acceptable!! They only have ice machines on the 3rd and 5th floors and with no elevators that was terrible! Not only that…when I did walk up to the 3rd floor the ice machine was all broken down and you could see that it was all moldy inside! I would like to send photos!! This is not the standard of hotel I would expect to see in a La Quinta!! I am very disappointed in the level of cleanliness and the standard of excellence which was missing!!
