The location is great for avoiding the summer crowds, “reasonable” for Banff prices, with access to sister properties with pool and dining. Rooms were spacious though dated; no AC in summer. Staff very helpful and friendly

I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. The property is clearly old and tired, in desperate need of renovation and maintenance. For a rate of $500 per night, I expected a much higher standard of comfort and service. The amenities were minimal and underwhelming, and the service was equally poor—staff seemed disengaged and unhelpful. To make matters worse, the window in the room was leaking cold air during the night, and there was no heater provided. It was an uncomfortable and frustrating experience, especially given the high price point. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this property to anyone. It simply does not deliver value for the money.

We were very surprised at how dated this property actually is. Especially for the price that we paid. When we checked in, there was other people checking in, who were just walk-ins and they were paying $200 less than what we paid online. It was very disappointing. There was no air conditioning. The on-site restaurant is not actually on site. The view is of a dirty parking lot. To pay almost $600 for a night when people walking in were paying $300 a night was very upsetting. Especially . The room was average. They upgraded us to a room with a river view and balcony which was nice. No air conditioning but they provided two fans. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and tour pickups. My husband constantly complained about how expensive everything is but it is a main tourist area so that’s to be expected (also when you convert the prices to US dollars it’s not as bad as it looks).

The room was so clean. The decor is a bit dated, but so tidy it looks like they have a stash of vintage new fixtures somewhere to replace things when they get worn. Can’t beat the location and front counter staff friendly and efficient. The only negative is that the hot water was temperamental.

Loved that it was right on the river. Definitely overpriced for condition of property but understand we arrived in the beginning of busy season. It was probably the cheapest option and did the job for just sleeping.
