Mountain ski retreat with 2 hot tubs and restaurant
Jump on the free ski shuttle for a day on the slopes before returning to Canalta Lodge for a meal at the restaurant and a drink at the bar/lounge. Additional amenities include ski storage and ski passes.

I like the friendly staff, we ask for a crib and gave us the crib right away for our baby. Room service everyday , I just notice when we're sleeping the room temperature goes up wakes us up sweating but I adjusted the thermostat and it works for the whole day.

The amenities in the court yard were fabulous , along with the free breakfast and parking made this stay very memorable. Wish it was a little closer to the restaurants but overall a great hotel .

Ski trip

Place is clean, easy to get to, and they do have a garage (can not fit a car larger than 7’- call to double check, but most garages are around that height cap or lower) Complimentary s’mores in the late afternoon was a nice surprise! The hot tub and cold plunge was really great. There’s also a sauna too. Staff is extremely helpful, and very kind. The breakfast wasn’t that great but it’s included and it’s super convenient that you can go in your PJ’s for breakfast. I would stay again It is an about 15-25 minute walk into town (depending how fast you walk) but there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The shuttle for the slopes, we are the first to be picked up and first to be dropped off. THAT was amazing

Great

Canalta lodge was a great place to stay for our ski trip to Sunshine. The front desk staff were all very helpful with my questions. The buffet breakfast was pretty good, and they kept everything replenished and clean. The room was clean and comfortable. Our room was right next to the ice machine, so we did have some annoying outside noise occasionally. We really enjoyed the s'mores and hot tubs the first couple nights. But the hot tubs were too crowded the last two nights. I think Canalta is the first stop for the shuttle to Sunshine, so we had our pick of seats. Overall a wonderful stay!

Great hotel with a very helpful staff. Hot tubs and sauna were great after skiing and it is close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Rooms are comfortable and clean and parking is easy underground. Will definitely visit again.

The staff was excellent. The room was clean. Mattress, pillows and shower were good. Location for the ski mountain shuttle buses couldn't be better. The breakfast was nice. Absolutely fantastic job keeping the sidewalk cleared of snow, the only place that did so. BUT - My room overlooked a parking lot, if a car idled below I could smell the exhaust. Quite a few items on the food/drink menu were not available. If you're not a walker, it's a longer stroll to town than you may want, approx .8 mi.

This is a great place! Sister property to the Moxy next door it has good/ new beds and pillows, large rooms, good breakfast and underground parking. What’s not to like? 😊 we’ll be back for sure, always treated with a smile.

7 night trip was wonderful

Stayed here for 7 nights while in Banff for Spring Break ski trip. The indoor parking garage assured we had a warm car every morning. The hot tub and happy hour smore's were something the kiddos (and us) looked forward to every late afternoon after a long day of skiing. Would definitely recommend. The breakfast has a variety of options, but it is the same breakfast buffet every day. Overall, it did the job. Very friendly staff as well.
