For the price we paid everything was good. Decent room and food was good. The bathroom could of done with freshening up as grout was grubby and toilet felt very low. The lady on reception was fantastic and very helpful even finding us a dmall heater as the room was quite cool and my husband has cancer and feels the cold

Thought the double room and bathroom were adequate but rather small. TV in wrong position to watch when in bed after a long day out in the rain!

I would not stay here again :( Did not live up to previous reviews. Room was satisfactorily clean but bed was too soft and pillows appeared to be past their best, so not a good night’s sleep. Shower cubicle was very small and very dated, although the water was hot, but the shower room had a very unpleasant smell of drains which lingered. I am a solo traveller and the following morning, whilst I was getting toast at the servery, the rest of my breakfast was cleared away and other guests given my table, despite my overnight bag and room key being at the side of my seat.

A giod experience however bathroon sink was cracked and restaurant staff seemed a bit rushed, although it was very busy and had run out of a few choices which should have been mentioned when passing menus over.

After a very long day travelling I had one night in the most comfortable bed ever when on the road, the shower was great and I slept like a baby! Breakfast was limited but more than enough

I and members of my family have been staying at the Stone Trough for over 3 decades. The staff have always been courteous and obliging, the accommodation and meals have always been VALUE FOR MONEY. The major changes over the years have been the breakfast service, which used to be in what is now the function room and the presence of all, not just personal support, dogs. Since the motorway network was connected to Colne and the Abbatoir was opened, the increase in both traffic times of travel and numbers of vehicles is disproportianate to normal over the same period.

Lovely room, comfortable bed, nice furnishings let down by poor carpet fitting in the bedroom and terrible vinyl flooring in the bathroom. Also no power to the shower. Great breakfast though and friendly staff. Owners, spend a bit on flooring and you’ll be on a winner
