This hidden gem is located in one of the busiest shopping streets - nicknamed “Snack Street” for all the tasty foods available there. The staff was welcoming and helped us settle in. The rooms were nicely furnished with everything we needed. Our room had a king and 2 doubles so it fit our family comfortably. Our boys shared a room with 3 doubles so each person had a nice big bed. There’s lots to do and see and easy access to local attractions. Would definitely recommend.
The staff are amazing and gracious people. They are very good with foreign guests. The room was clean and comfortable. They also do your laundry for free! What a bonus! As others have said, this is an excellent travel hotel. It’s in a lively Hutong pedestrian shopping street, so there is no vehicle directly to the hotel. I would suggest taking a car to the north gate of the street. If you take the subway, it takes about 1/2 mile on foot from the south gate. It’s a convenient location for accessing most Beijing sights. We were on the go and didn’t spend much time hanging around in the room, but it’s great for a shower and good nights sleep. The vibe is family friendly, so it’s not a place for party animals. There are some nice books to borrow, a table for 6-8 in a pleasant lobby with refreshments to buy. Plenty to see and shop and eat right outside the door. The neighborhood has an authentic China feel, with lots of locals and tourists enjoying the atmosphere. The street has good security and lots of cameras so there are no issues with overbearing salespeople or pickpockets. Again, the staff are a gem! Very welcoming and friendly and helpful.
This is an excellent hotel in Beijing. The room is clean. The staff and receptionists are outstanding specially Dana, the 2 Lynns’,Bob,etc. They are generous in water and other useful things. Although there was no elevator in going down to our room (R307)my daughter was able to exercise.
My daughter walks on tiptoes due to her medical conditions. There is an elevator from the lobby to every level except in some areas. The staff helped us all the way through in our needs like transportation, etc
We would like to thank everyone who made our stay memorable. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and customers.
This is a budget choice in a Hutong (walking only lane area) and I was aware of that at the time of booking. You need to walk a couple of hundred meters to get to the entrance from the street where your taxi (Didi) will drop you off.
The reception staff were welcoming and offered green tea on arrival. The first room we had was an upstairs downstairs (mezzanine) configuration with a one bed up and the other down. It was pretty tight for the three of us and large cases so I asked for a larger room and was given a room with more space. The room was clean and shower good. Don't expect a view if your room has a window.
Plenty of bottled water was supplied each day loaded into a small fridge Chinese channel on TV only. Bed was comfortable with a soft and hard pillow. You need to put your toilet paper in a bin and not flush it. Room was secure, but no room safe.
The location is handy to Metro and walking distance to Drum and Bell towers and the lake area with many restaurants and bars. There is a Starbucks at the entrance and a good restaurant on the ground floor. Overall good value for those on a budget and was pleased with my choice.
Location! Right on the busy hutong but very quiet inside. Bonus: Starbucks within a couple of steps! Friendly staff. Easy walk to Drum and Bell Towers. Recommend!
Almost all were fantastic, great location, friendly and super helpful staff. We were pleasantly surprised by the free 24-hour laundry service, which was a big plus for our stay. The only downside in my opinion, the room was not very well insulated with noises coming from the corridor.
I recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at a boutique hotel perfectly situated in the heart of the city. The location could not be better—just steps away from major temples, a vibrant array of restaurants, and plenty of shopping options, making it incredibly convenient to explore everything the area has to offer.
What truly set this hotel apart was the staff. Every team member I encountered was genuinely warm, attentive, and eager to help, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was seamless and memorable. Their hospitality made me feel right at home and added a personal touch that elevated the entire experience.
The hotel itself blends modern comfort with a unique, stylish design. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed, offering a relaxing retreat after a day of sightseeing. Whether you’re visiting for the cultural landmarks, the culinary scene, or just to unwind, this boutique hotel is an outstanding choice for anyone wanting to be in the center of it all with exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Highly recommended!!!
The hotel was tucked behind a popular busy street but was still very quiet. It was 10 minutes walk from the subway and 20 minutes walk to Beijing Airport Express service. The most impressive part of the experience was the service. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free laundry service was unheard-of. We were even given parting gifts which was also a first. I had the best service in all the hotels I had ever stayed. Will definitely recommend it.
Very happy with the location. It takes a few minutes to walk from the main road down the secure pedestrian shopping and eatery street. The hotel is located in a older neighborhood with various styles of buildings within walking distance.
The staff went above and beyond expectations during our three day stay. They even met us at the road entrance to show us the way to the hotel. Unlimited coffee, bottled water and snacks were always available.
Fantastic hidden gem boutique hotel in the middle of an uber cool hutong area of Beijing. Very close proximity to the Forbidden City, HouHai lake, Bell & Drum Tower and with a mega range of restaurants, bars, shops and local attractions quite literally on the doorstep!
Very clean and comfortable and in a great location. I walked most places but also close to metro station which is very convenient. Hotel was very clean and comfortable and in a very fun area with lots of great dining options. Staff were very kind and helpful.
The hotel is located in a busy street with lots of shops and eateries around, making it convenient to shop for souvenirs. There is a Starbucks and a restaurant in the same building. The subway is within walking distance, at the other end of the shopping street. To get to the hotel from the airport, you can take a taxi and alight at Nanluoguxiang North exit.
Our room was clean. The air conditioner is centrally controlled and may be warm at times since it was set at heater mode in March regardless of the weather for the day. Not sure what’s the reason, but there may be a weird sewage smell from the toilet at times. Other than that, the room is well equipped with good supply drinking water, snacks, and toiletries
What makes this property stand out would be the extremely warm service. We arrived at the hotel on a snowy day and were quickly welcomed with towels to dry ourselves and our luggage and warm cups of tea. The staff were cheerful, always ready to help with reservations of tourist attractions. They deserve the 5 stars rating!
