Great hotel and location

I am writing to express how much I enjoyed my recent stay at the Hyatt Bethesda My experience was truly first class from beginning to end. The staff were exceptional — always friendly, professional, and ready to assist with anything I needed. My room was consistently clean and well-maintained throughout my stay, which made for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The hotel’s location was perfect, with easy access to a variety of great restaurants and local attractions. It was incredibly convenient to have so many dining options just steps away. Overall, I was thoroughly pleased with my stay at the Hyatt and would gladly return. I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a top-notch hotel experience.

We enjoyed our stay except being woken up by the front desk at 1:45am on our last night because there was a supposed leak in the room below us. We had to get up and get dressed to wait for someone that was supposed to check our room. But after an hour and no one showing up we went back to sleep for a few more hours before we had to get up. The only thing the hotel offered for this inconvenience was free breakfast which we could not even use.

Great location to walk around Bethesda and the entrance to the metro is right next to the hotel. This hotel is built right over the metro. I parked in the Waverly parking garage for free (free on Sunday till Monday morning at 7am) rather than pay the $30 per night parking that the Hyatt wanted to charge. Short 4 min walk to parking garage. My queen room was really nice, clean, TV worked great and was huge. Bed was comfortable and I slept great! Good shower pressure I liked the shampoo, conditioner, soap & lotion they provided. Big refillable bottles that were easy to use. I haven't gone downstairs to pick up the brown bagged breakfast yet. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We were there for a dance competition which was convenient. A lot of restaurants within walking distance. Because so many people were staying for the competition and other events the elevator situation was an absolute nightmare. Stay was good otherwise.

False Alarm - literally deafening FIRE alarm went off around 8:00am on a Saturday morning, 4/5/25. Terrifying! Told to take the stairs, not the elevator, and couldn't find the emergency exit on the 10th floor! When I checked out, the front desk staff shrugged it off as if it was no big deal, saying since I pre-paid through a third-party (Expedia) it was not their problem. I want a refund!
