Perched just above the paddocks that lead to Redbill Beach, Mr Percival invites guests to experience the rugged beauty and quiet wonder of Tasmania’s East Coast through a lens of nostalgia and stillness. Inspired by the enduring story of Storm Boy, this thoughtfully curated beach house speaks to those seeking simplicity, connection, and the kind of peace that only the sea can bring.
Inside, Mr Percival offers two bedrooms – one with a queen bed and sweeping ocean views that stretch out towards Diamond Island, and another with a single bunk bed ideal for little ones or those who still carry a sense of youthful adventure. Every corner of the home has been lovingly arranged with a blend of coastal restraint and timeless comfort, ensuring guests feel welcomed by warmth.
The heart of the home is its open-plan living and dining area, fitted with modern conveniences like a Smart TV, WiFi, and a Breville coffee pod machine to savour quiet mornings with the waves rolling in just beyond the glass. Outside, a front deck with an outdoor dining setting and a flat plate BBQ becomes the stage for easy, open-air meals shared under salt-laced skies.
Whether you're seeking inspiration, solitude, or simply a return to something quieter, Mr Percival offers an invitation to slow down and look out. Just as the boy and his pelican found meaning in the wild and the wordless, here too, guests can find something lasting in the hush between the tides.
Mr Percival is located on Tasman Hwy in a 60km zone, although we don't find the road disruptive, we felt important to be transparent.
