It's in a quiet neighborhood just one block from the sprawling national forest where there are endless trails for hiking, biking and sledding. You'll be close to all the skiing, off-roading, boating, fishing, shopping, restaurants and more that the mountain resorts have to offer. The cabin is beautifully renovated with upgraded amenities, a charming stone fireplace, and comes with a finished office shed / hang out space with a desk, office chair, futon and smart TV - great if you need a quiet space for remote working.

The perfect Big Bear getaway

I came to Kookie Bears Cottage with my dog, hoping for a peaceful writing retreat, and I had just that! The cottage is warm and comfortable, well stocked and well decorated, and the location is great. It's close enough to town to pop out for dinner, yet located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It was spotless when I arrived. Overall, I have nothing but rave reviews and would love to stay at this cottage again in the future.

Kookie Bear Cottage was great! It was very homey and exactly what we wanted for our weekend getaway! We enjoyed the cottage so much that we plan on making it our yearly mountain destination! It was cozy, yet perfect size for a small family. The kitchen was very accommodating and the neighborhood felt very safe. We can feel the love and care that went in to keeping this place warm and welcome! Thanks to our host, Nancy!
