A good 40 minute walk to town hairs on bed on arrival hotel landings and rooms quite worn staff behind counter were having a chat whilst i waited about a phone overall disappointed for what it cost given i also paid over the odds anyway

The property looked way better online, the amenities advertised online as part of the stay are in fact not free and you do have to pay. The rooms are not cleaned, the beds are terrible quality in the family rooms

£50 extra for a decent room

Don't think you are getting a good deal. If you're paying under £100 expect the bare minimum, sticky carpets, scruffy furniture, creaky old bed and overall shabby room. We complained and had to pay an extra £50 to get a decent room.

Great new rooms

Great trip, room was brilliant, they've obviously renovated some rooms and we got one, on the 7th floor. Brand new bathroom, comfy beds, and a great breakfast. Will definitely be back.

The rooms we had stayed in had not been cleaned. There was clothes behind the beds and empty bottles. Upon that the duvet for the bed had not been changed it was still dirty meaning I could not use it. Furthermore, in the room there was an abundance of flies waiting for us.

Filthy, falling apart & not worth the money !

Unfortunately this hotel has gone down hill,everything that you read that this hotel offers it is best to assume it does not ! Upon arrival we had three room changes (we booked 2 rooms,so this was 6 roons in total) due to the filth of the rooms ,no doors on wardrobes,half of the lighting in the rooms (all 6 rooms that we occupied) did not work,the telephones in the rooms did not work,when explaining this i just got raised eyebrows,the women at reception coukd not raise a smile she clearly did not want to be there every question/complaint was met with an altitude, thankfully the general manager was a little more helpful in accommodating us,plaster that had fallen from the walls scattered throughout the hotel hallways, on all three floors we were moved to ! Lifts that did not work properly,entrance to the hotal can be difficult given none of the automatic doors work & they can not be manually opened,all in all it is a dive & quite frankly the staff do not care,i could go on butbi think this gives a rough idea of the kind of hotel it is,such a disappointment & after 5 hours of traveling you do not expect it to take over 3 hours to get your rooms sorted !

It’s the only hotel that we have had to pay extra on to our booking to use leisure facilities, if we wanted swimming towel came at a cost. Required to pay extra for hotel car parking. Pool closes at 5 so we couldn’t use it when arrived. Room were so hot even with windows open, our complimentary biscuits were already opened and munched on. Went to make a coffee but tea spoon was dirty. Pillows were rock hard and not really a family room but did the job as we booked 10 moms before arriving to break a long journey which is why the use of the pool would have been good.

Hotel advertised as upmarket, and has priced accordingly, but very run down, comfortable but noisy beds, when you turn over really squeaky so wake partner up, bedding clean, dirty windows that dont open, stuffy rooms because of this. Lovely staff.

Hit the room was too crowded for five people and the bed was horrible. I mean horrible horrible horrible to now I’m having me and my wife in case having back pain from the mattress you go to a hotel is supposed to be a good bed. It looks like they put the bed together and they just take one harbour mattress and put it there and take one and put it on top of it. It looks like there’s a ticket or leave it. That’s why I can describe it.

Good value for £55. A night for mid week break . Bit noisy fom other guests but tolrable . House keeping is on the 4 day but you can get anything from reception so not a problem . Near the tram stop about 20 mon walk to the trainstation Would for sure stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews on here. Room was clean and Tidy. Breakfast Buffet was as expected, it was busy as you would expect on a Saturday morning, but we had no problem finding a table. Outside of the Hotel does look a bit Rundown, but once you enter it is much cleaner.
