The staff are really friendly and happy to help. The location is quieter as slightly out of town, but bicycles can be hired for free from the hotel and everything is really easy to get to. I ate my evening meals there and the owner made me really great vegetarian food. Breakfast was included and really very good as well. The hotel is basic, but the sheets are clean and the location is convenient. I’d stay again!

Absolutely amazing! Room was gorgeous and spotless, Ms Ai and all the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Without doubt, this has been the best stop of our trip and I hope Mountain House will let us come back in the future! We had dinner at Mountain House one evening and it was excellent - real home cooked food. Free use of the bikes was great and Ms Ai organised a cave tour and a moped for us. This was the perfect homestay while visiting Phong Nha. The rooms were large, comfortable, and clean. You are still near all the reatiraunts but far enough to not have to hear cars and motorbikes all day and night. The staff was also 5 star.

The hosts are very sweet and helpful, and the bungalows themselves are unique and clean, but the beds are SO hard that I had trouble sleeping and was in quite a bit of pain the next day. If you like a firm mattress, this is the place for you!
