I love that there was a fireplace in my hotel room and a balcony. The room itself did show its age a bit but was clean. Also it is quite a large room compared to most hotels.

The cabin was very cozy and comfortable. The fireplace is great! Mirrors on the top of the bed was very odd. The bathroom floor oozes water up through the floor due to missing or cracked grout. A major future issue if not repaired. Reported it to tge front desk.

An average stay along the way

It was an average stay. Check in was easy but there was a little uncomfortable moment between the women checking me in and a gentleman offering directions. Pictures on the website made it appear to be better kept in regards to the play area and pool. It was a convient place to stay on the way to tweetsie railroad with decent prices. Overall i have no major complaints.

Avoid this place

The photos online are misleading. The room smelled of mold. The bed frame was made of vinyl that was ripped, cracked and exposed materials that could not be cleaned or sanitized. The bathroom was covered in hairs that been there from many previous stays.

Rented a cabin that fit our needs perfectly. Two college kids, one parent and a dog. The motel is old and I can’t speak to the rooms - they looked a little sketchy to honest. But the cabins are behind the motel in an entirely different street. I’d totally stay there again.

Place was wonderful you can tell storm helene from 2024 is still affecting the area The room I stayed in needs a full upgrade but overall it was a good stay no complaints other than the bugs . Front desk was wonderful helped me jump my car battery and very friendly I’ll be back to Boone because of the staff and will try a solo cabin next time

When we arrived, the room we were initially given had a few things that still needed to be cleaned so we called the front desk to make them aware and see if we could just get someone to clean it. The front desk promptly called back and offered us an upgrade instead. Not only did they come and look at it themselves, but they showed us to the cabin we'd be in and were extremely kind and went above and beyond to make sure we had a stellar experience! We will definitely be back!

First and last visit

Rooms are outdated by 30 years. Doors were hard to open and close. Walls are paper thin, you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing. Whirlpool is extremely loud.

Old place, not filthy just needs repairs. Wood burning fireplace would be nice in winter. Whirlpool tub was useless, no water pressure, just a trickle of water, ran out of hot water before water level was up to jets. Neighbors in other rooms either drunk or drugged up, up all night screaming about fighting the Illuminati. I asked for refund agreed to $299 waiting for refund. Not a Master Host Resort. Possible section 8 housing??
