This is the best hotel in the world for the price I paid, unbelievable. They even offered free valet parking.

Asked for a non smoking room, host siad oh let me change that for you, got put in a room that smelled like a damn ashtray. When checking out was asked how our stay was, said "terrible, the room smelled like a wet cigarette", they replied, "well that was a smoking room". Terrible nights sleep.

We booked the premium non smoking 2 Queen bed room, newly renovated with the river view. We drove 10 hrs to get there. Check in is at 4pm and check out at 11 am, we arrive 7:30 pm and had to wait 50 minutes to check in because the room was not ready. When we finally got to our room the only view we had was of the highway. Called the front desk to make them aware that this was not the room I paid for only for them to tell me that the room I booked is not available that night. I was too exhausted to argue so we decided to spend the night in that room then change it the next day. The next day came and we went to change our room at around 1 pm since check out is at 11 we wanted to give them time. The front desk seemed annoyed that we wanted to change to the room that we paid for but she changed it. My husband had the idea to see the room in person before we relocated and thank God that he did because the view was of the roof and quite frankly the highway view was way better so we opted to stay in the old room. This trip was for my commencement ceremony at LSUS and It definitely put a bummer in my mood because I watched their videos of the room and was so excited for the little break from work and school only to have an experience like this. My advice to them is do not book reservations if you can’t fulfill them and the parking lot was hot and stunk of pee everywhere. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz but dawm, pls don’t sell what you can’t deliver.

I will start off by saying we will stay there again- we really like the Horseshoe- our views were stunning but the issue we had was with the bathroom…the tub didn’t drain and neither did the sink and the floor was sticky. Other than that our stay was good just extremely disappointed by the bathroom.
