Stourcliffe House is a detached Edwardian holiday property set within a quiet residential area, and is ideally situated with much to offer the whole family. The accommodation includes a living room with wood burner, games room, study and large kitchen/dining room with doors leading to the garden. Outside there is a fully enclosed garden with table and chairs. There is also a full sized table tennis table in the garage. The property lies just 300 yards from the sands of Southbourne Beach.

Southbourne has a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. Just 1 mile to the east is the nature reserve of Hengistbury Head, which offers some lovely walks. Bournemouth town centre is 2½ miles away. Take a ride on the Bournemouth Eye, which rises high above the town to give the most amazing panoramic views over the whole area. At the foot of the pier is the fascinating Oceanarium, where the whole family can discover life beneath the waves. Compton Acres Gardens in Bournemouth and the delightful Exbury Gardens, 18 miles, are both worth a visit. Beaulieu, with its world-renowned National Motor Museum, Palace House and Beaulieu Abbey, are 20 miles away. The beautiful New Forest National Park is within 5 miles, and for those who enjoy the thrill of a theme park, Paultons Park is 25 miles away. Other places of interest include Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park, Adventure Wonderland, Christchurch Priory, Mudeford Key, Poole Harbour, Highcliffe Castle and the National Trust’s Brownsea Island. Shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

It is exactly as the description says. Great place for multi generational family gathering. Games room packed with toys kept 4 year old entertained as did the table tennis for the teenagers. Walking distance to shops and beach. Well equipped with plenty of everything. Highly recommend

The house feels homely and comfortable and was just right for our family of six adults and four children. The playroom was very popular and everyone enjoyed the table football. The kitchen was very well equipped with four slice toaster (we all love toast), microwave and all the usual stuff. I realise that a lot of thought has gone into making this property a great holiday rental.

We had a fantastic family holiday at Stourcliffe House.

We had a fantastic family holiday at Stourcliffe House. It's a fabulous house with loads of space and incredibly well equipped. The play room and slide were a real winner for the kids, allowing us big kids to relax! So many toys!! There was plenty of equipment in the kitchen for cooking big meals and lots of other helpful bits and bobs. The whole house is very spacious, clean and comfortable with lovely big beds and plenty of towels. A really great find and we will be back. Location is perfect, the coast on the doorstep and easy access to the new forest. 5 mins walk to the beach and 5 mins walk to shops and restaurants. Wonderful. Thank you!

The house and the owner welcomed us with its clean, luminius and also the atmosphere of an house with a personal touch. From start to finish this house was amazing.

From start to finish this house was amazing. Spacious, comfortable. Having the towels for self and beach was a real bonus. The cake and wine on arrival was a lovely touch and the coals for the barby. There were 12 of us 4 of those being 10/11 year olds and 2 babies aged 1 and 10 weeks and there was loads of room. Thank you you Amanda and Chris for the use of your fabulous but look out my family would love me to buy it 😂😂😂

We booked this house for our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we could not have picked any better.

We booked this house for our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we could not have picked any better. It was perfect for our requirements, and the owners were very kind and left us a welcome gift of cake, cookies and other essentials of life! We travelled out from the house, each family doing their own thing, or as a 11 people pack. A great place to stay, and I would recommend any one who is thinking about a week or two with your family, look no further. We will come back, maybe not next year, but sometime in the future. John
