A true ski-in, ski-out 5 star resort, the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 is the epitome of luxury, combining mountain style with ultimate convenience.
The Grand Lodge is located literally steps away from the Independence SuperChair on Peak 7, as well as being situated directly on the BreckConnect Gondola Peak 7 turn Station, giving you direct access to Peak 8 or to the center of historic downtown Breckenridge. No matter what anyone in your party is looking for, you are quite literally steps away.
Additionally, the resort provides its guests a courtesy, complimentary shuttle for getting to and from town. The shuttle leaves from the resort, and you simply call for your ride home. I don't think there is more convenient lodging in all of Breckenridge.
The unit itself sleeps 4. The master suite has a king bed and the living area has a sleeper sofa with a queen mattress. The full sized kitchen is completely equipped with literally everything but the food - so convenient when you want to "ski-in" for a quick bite to eat, or for planning a full "stay at home dinner" when you want a night in. It includes granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances and bar seating, and opens up to the dining area and the living area, with its gas fireplace, balcony, and flat-screen TV. Other features include free heated underground parking, complimentary wireless internet, and your own washer/dryer combo.
The resorts numerous pools and hot tubs are always tempting after a day on the slopes. The large indoor/outdoor pool connects to the children's inside pool. Multiple hot tubs and pools are incorporated into the outdoor landscape to create a magical mountain escape.
Too tired to cook? Sevens Restaurant is located at the Grand Lodge. It's perfect for a quick stop between runs, gathering the family for lunch or dinner, or meeting up with friends for apre' ski on the sprawling outdoor deck. Other amenities include their state of the art fitness center with floor to ceiling mountain views, a game room, their Soothe Spa, and the wondrful adults only grotto, complete with a saltwater hot tub with a waterfall, a eucalyptus-infused steam room, and a cedar sauna. For a lazy evening in, choose from over 500 movies to play in your own private theater by reserving one of the resorts four theaters, with seating from 9 to 13.
Activities abound in Breckenridge! Besides downhill skiing and snowboarding, other options include snowmobiling, ice skating, tubing and sledding, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, snow-cat tours, sleigh rides and even dog sledding! The Grand Colorado's concierge is happy to help plan any or all of your adventures. Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Copper, and A-Basin are a short drive or bus route away, and can be combined on some of the many types of ski passes offered. And don't forget the charming town of Breckenridge. Known for its excellent world class restaurants, art galleries, shops, pubs and night life - take a walk down Main Street and you will fall in love with this magical town!
You won't run out of things to do in Breckenridge, either at the resort or around town. It's absolutely one of my very favorite places, and I know it will be yours too!
