Located in prestigious Rockledge, “On the Rocks” is a beautiful Modern-Mountain Lake View home that comfortably sleeps 10 Guests, and is romantic and cozy enough for 2. This 2-level spacious cabin offers every luxury and caters to the discerning traveler seeking a unique and luxurious vacation experience in The Great Smoky Mountains and Nantahala National Forest. The cabin offers a private & fenced yard, with a salt water plunge pool and a fire-pit. There are 4 fireplaces — wood burning fireplaces in the living room and by the plunge pool, and gas log fireplaces in the Master bedroom and on the large deck/outdoor dining and living room that overlooks the Mountain and Lake Views. —
For the ambitious Hikers and Mountain Bikers in the group, you have access to over 7 miles of mountain biking trails without ever getting in your car. Hike (or drive) via the private road that connects Rockledge to the N.O.C. - where you can experience your choice of Outdoor Adventures, such as: Zip Lining, Whitewater Rafting and/or Kayaking, Rope Course, Playground in the Sky, and the Appalachian Trail just to name a few.
About a 20 minute drive brings you to Bryson City - where you can enjoy various Restaurants, Shopping, and Dining in the Adorable and walkable Mountain town that is home to the Smoky Mountain Scenic Train Depot and Gateway to Deep Creek - where you can spend the day enjoying a cool mountain breeze at one of the shaded PicNic Tables, Tubing down the Cool Water on a Hot Summer Day, or Hiking on the easy Waterfall Trails…
For your convenience, there is WI-FI throughout the cabin and "On the Rocks" is perfect for a small family, group getaway, or a romantic couples retreat.
Guests have access to the Fontana Lakefront Swim Platform/Sun Deck, and Boat Docks (none of which are open to the general public).
With complete Private Seclusion, as you enter this beautiful home, you are sure to be awe-struck by the amazing designer details and finishes as you make your way through the home.

Beautifully Furnished and Spacious Deck offers an impressive (gas log) fireplace, comfortable seating with a hanging bed, dining table, gas grill, custom lighting, and Incredible Mountain and Lake Views.
This space takes Modern Mountain Design to a whole new level.
Over 1000 Acres of undeveloped land surrounds “On the Rocks”, which provides this gorgeous mountain sanctuary complete Privacy to relax and enjoy the best of what Bryson City and the Smoky Mountains have to offer!
BEDROOMS:
Master Bedroom is on the main level: King Bed, fireplace (gas logs), ensuite bathroom with a gorgeous soaker tub and separate tiled shower | Bedroom 2 is on the main level: King Bed, ensuite bathroom with a tiled shower | Bedroom 3 is on the lower level: 2 Queen Beds | Bunk Room is on the lower level: 2 Twin XL Beds, private ensuite bathroom with tiled shower. For your convenience, there is a half bath on the main level. All beds are prepared with the finest quality of luxury linens and bedding.
KITCHEN: Fully equipped and well appointed with high end appliances, island, breakfast bar, slow cooker, drip coffee maker with a keurig, coffee grinder, toaster oven, dishwasher, cookware/bakeware/serving dishes, and a basic selection of spices.
POOL: The Pool Size is 20' x 10' and the Depth is 3' x 5'
GENERAL: Free Unlimited WiFi, blow dryers, washer, dryer, ceiling fans, iron & board.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Pool is winterized from just after Labor Day to Memorial Day each year.
*** Although many past guests and the primary housekeeper do not drive AWD/4WD vehicles and drive to and from "On the Rocks" just fine, a recent past guest said they wish they had driven an AWD/4WD vehicle. NOTE: We do not recommend low riding sports cars or mini-vans. We send all guests a "helpful information" email which includes mountain driving info. Please read that and consider the drivers mountain driving experience when deciding which vehicle to bring.

... Also available is our Shopping service. If you would like to arrive at "On the Rocks" with your Groceries already stocked, ask for details, we will have everything waiting for you upon your arrival.
... If you would like to enjoy a Spa Massage Service at the Cabin, it is a good idea to book in advance to assure availability. Your Professional Massage Therapist will come to you, so when you are done, they quietly disappear and leave you to relax. 
... If your vacation dates are during 'Season' or Holidays and you plan to rent a pontoon or fishing boat, it may be a good idea to reserve in advance. Lake Fontana is primarily National Forest, Smoky Mountains, and Federally owned, so the Lake is never 'Busy', but the available rental boats do get booked up.
