Close your eyes: the morning air carries the scent of lavender, violet fields stretch before you, and Monte Catria rises in the background. Welcome to Agriturismo Il Poggio delle Favole, an authentic retreat in the Marche region, just 3 km from Cagli and a few minutes from Frontone, near the Frasassi caves, Urbino (UNESCO), the Furlo Gorge, and the medieval villages of the valley.
Here, lavender is the soul of the place: it blooms every year, coloring the landscape purple. From the handcrafted harvest come floral water, essential oil, and scented sachets.
The farmhouse dates back to the 19th century and preserves the original family livestock mangers. The farm is lively and generous: Marrans hens, artisanal honey, lavender and hand-picked saffron, a private vineyard, olive trees, and seasonal vegetables, all available for purchase on site.
September is harvest month: among the rows of our vineyard, you can experience the grape harvest atmosphere. The milder temperatures are perfect for exploring the CAI trails and mule tracks of Monte Catria on foot or by motorbike, discovering saffron harvesting and local markets. Scenic and dirt roads are also ideal for motocross.
The Olivia Room offers a king-size bed and a single bed, private bathroom, independent entrance, and minibar. The panoramic terrace with views of Monte Catria is perfect at sunset. The Casetta delle Rose features a gas stove, wood-fired oven, and barbecue. Lily pond, parking, and Wi-Fi included.
Check-in from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, check-out by 10:00 am. Bed linen and towels available for an extra fee.
