This was our second time staying at FogCatcher. The location on Moonstone Beach is amazing, rooms are spacious, and the hotel has increased communication about services. Given the high prices, I'd love to see a few increased room amenities to help make the most of the location such as a tea kettle or higher quality coffee maker in the room. The beach is just across the street and it would be perfect to prepare a warm beverage before stargazing at night or heading out to the beach in the morning.

Inn was fine. My stay was for the most part comfortable. I had called a day in advance for early check in, and upon arrival was told there was no record of this request, which was irritating. However they were able to accommodate me into a new room quickly. The room itself had an odor I needed to air out during my 2 night stay. Room was comfortable though overall, however the new room I was assigned was right off the parking lot and noise after hours was an issue consistently as walls and windows were very thin.

We stayed for 1 night on mothers day. Stay was comfortable and quiet. Loved the heated pool and hot tub. Beach is right outside your window. Walking distance to a restaurant or 2. Room was clean and shutters kept the light out so we get a little extra sleep before a morning walk on the beach trail. Definitely looking forward to another stay.

We checked into the hotel late on Friday. Having booked it for 4 people, we needed to use the pullout bed. As we were preparing it, we discovered what looked like throw up on the couch as well as lots of other stains al over it. The couch smelled and was absolutely disgusting. I went to the front to see if they had another room available and they did not. It was late and we have kids so we needed rest. The room was not supplied with extra sheets of blankets for the pull out so had to go back and wait for them at the office. It took the office attendant about 10 minutes to even notice I was at the desk waiting. I have stayed in Cambria so many times and this was the worst experience. We tried to move hotels but FogCatcher would not refund us for the night, even though the accommodations were terrible! Never roll book this hotel again.
