The well-equipped kitchen makes cooking a pleasure, opening directly onto your enclosed private garden, where the river winds gently past — its soft murmur a constant, soothing backdrop.

Whether you’re enjoying a sun-dappled breakfast or raising a glass beneath the trees at dusk, this is a relaxing spot to savour. You may even see the flash of a kingfisher as it darts along the river. On site, you’ll also find shared tennis courts, free for guests to enjoy (rackets and balls provided), while just beyond your doorstep, the enchanting landscapes of Bodmin Moor beckon.

From Camelford, the gateway to the moor, set out to climb Brown Willy and Rough Tor, their panoramic views truly breathtaking. Nearby Wadebridge offers bustling streets filled with antique shops, restaurants, and cosy pubs, and from here you can cycle the famous Camel Trail all the way to Padstow, winding 18 scenic miles along rivers, woodland, and estuary.

Padstow itself is a vibrant fishing port, alive with quayside bustle and world-class dining. The coast here is nothing short of spectacular. From the sweeping sands of Crackington Haven and Bude, to the legendary cliffs of Tintagel and the quaint harbours of Boscastle and Port Isaac (famed for Doc Martin), every corner reveals a new delight.
