Before I booked this reservation, I called and spoke with the owner BT and explained we are handicapped with a bad back and knees. I asked about stairs and was told it was one flight of stairs. When we arrived, it was 24 steps with a steep incline. At night, stairs have very low lighting which do not illuminate the stairs adequately while trying to safely traverse while holding luggage and bags. Also it is dangerously slick while it poured rain on several occasions during our stay and checked out July 31st.
The second issue was when we arrived, we walked into the convenience store as instructed to check into the room and get the key. We said, “Hi, what’s your name?” The person at the counter responded, “Why?” With a frowning mean looking face. He was standoff-ish and used a rude condescending tone. We just wanted to know if this person was BT, who we spoke with over the phone as we had brought some chocolate covered macadamia nut gift box for the owner BT. I was a little upset over the tone and response to a friendly request asking for his name, especially since I was smiling while I asked what his name was and if he was the owner. Obviously, we did not give him the gift.
The third issue was hot tub would not adequately fill with hot water. The water would turn cold about a third of the way. There is no heater function on the whirlpool tub. Also, the jets for your back is located at the drain. So you sit on the drain for jets to hit your back. BBQ grill dirty
