Mountain Oaks Retreatin 'Pool House' sijaitsee keskeisellä paikalla Austinin ja San Antonion välissä, majesteettisessa Hill Countryssa South South Texasissa. We had an amazing retreat! The kids had a blast at the pool all weekend long, and the extra guest house was a perfect retreat in itself for our introverts or for decompressing away from the all the activity in the main house. It was perfect for our group and we will definitely be back next year!

Such a fun house & cool location

My family had the best time. It was perfect size for all of us and we loved the pool. I didn’t leave the house for the 4 days we were there. Highly recommend if you have a fun family. And don’t forgot about the beautiful Longhorns on the property. They will eat right out of your hands. Would definitely stay again. The host was so wonderful and helpful with my 1 million questions. .

Retreat, peaceful, all inclusive fun time for all

Our stay was just 4 days. In one day alone we saw 5 deers. The pool and hot tub was perfect. The family enjoyed basketball, ping pong, darts, fire pit, grilling, the play ground with swings, slide, climbing pole, hiking to Grace Point. The scenery around the property was great loved the tall trees and views of the hills. The hostess was great. She was always available and very informative and supportive. We are definitely planning to stay again soon.

Perfect Getaway

Our family loves this property. It is perfect for all ages. Close enough to Guadalupe River for floating & quiet enough for others to just relax. Owners are always available if there is a problem. Great vacation!

Peaceful perfect gets away

Stayed on this property for the second time. The family enjoyed the privacy, they were amaze by the views. Pool time was great and the rooms were neat!. 15 min away from Canyon Lake. Family enjoyed Morning and evening walks exploring the property. Would look forward for our next stay!.

Incredible views and accomodations

Excellent place for a retreat! We took 6 kids and adults from church for a summer mini camp/leaders retreat. It served both purposes so well. We stayed in the main house. The pool was perfect. The bedrooms housed us so comfortably. Everything was great! Great communication with the owner. Highly recommend!

This was at least our 4th time renting this house. Love the location and property. Owners are always helpful and nice. There had been lots of improvement since our last visit. We plan to keep renting here every summer as long as we can.

Perfect place for family gathering!

Owners were very nice and accommodating. We had 13 people and were all very comfortable during our stay. We played in the pool every day. It was very nice and well maintained. Having two full size refrigerators was nice. We had all the dishes we needed. Loved having the loft for the kids! They loved it.

The property was very nice...secluded, quiet.

The house is large and Peter and Berlin were nice and responded quickly. The game room was a bonus...the kids watched a movie on these and the adults watched in the living room. Jets do not work in the Jacuzzi tub but it was warm out side and we did not even use it. They have a peaceful prayer garden a short walk away....our family will go again.

Amazing views and wonderful pool

We loved our stay here!! The house was big enough for our entire group which included 7 adults and 6 kids. We loved the pool, nature walks, and the gorgeous lookout. We especially loved that there was a gate around the pool. This way we felt comfortable enough to let the kids play outside without fear that they would be near the pool unsupervised. Just as an FYI, we received communication from the owners about directions and how to get to the house. These were helpful however the Waze app took us right to the house using the address provided.

Fun time

The property manager was clear with directions and responded fast. The place is perfect for small children. There are some cabinets, games, and furniture that could be updated. The home was big enough to accommodate a big family. The pool was dirty and we found spiders and scorpion in it. We appreciated that there was life jackets and floaties for the kids already there for our use. Overall I would recommend this property for a fun getaway.

Nice House w/Great Location and Pool

This was my fifth time to stay at this property. It is perfectly located. It is a nice, spacious house with a great pool that is perfect for everyone. It is on huge acreage, so you can be as loud as you want for as long as you want. It really is a wonderful escape in Canyon Lake. To be honest, you don't really even need to leave the property to have a ton of fun. The pool makes that possible. We will continue to come back to this property for the pool and the fact you don't have specific rules on quiet time. Additionally, the host is always welcoming and has always made sure everything is perfect for our stay.

Great family get-away!

We had a wonderful time. This house is set up perfectly for a family/friend get-away! 1) beds - lots of them! 2) kitchen - very well stocked with plenty of plates/cups as well as cooking/baking ware. I always bring a pasta pot, skillet, cutting board, sharp knife and corkscrew since many places don't have them. I was pleasantly surprised to see all of those at this house, along with an electric griddle, crockpot,... even muffin pans. 3) Plenty to do - swimming (I counted at least 20 chairs in the pool area!), volleyball, disc golf, basketball, movies... The roads are hilly and curvy. Take your time and enjoy the journey!

Wonderful

The children and the enjoyed themselves. The view from the Garden was beautiful. The house had everything we needed besides Dish soap and a scrubby. We like to wash the dishes before we put them in the dishwasher. That was the only issue and it wasn't a big one because in about a 10 minute drive there is a family dollar. We would definitely love to go back to this property, It's our favorite property at the lake so far. Thank you for letting us stay. You have a gorgeous home and property.

Annual Family Vacay!

We absolutely loved the place! Getting there was an adventure since we were fleeing a hurricane. Berlin was easily reached outside of the VRBO app. I was having issues accessing the messaging app and Berlin was super understanding. The pool was a hit with the whole gang but the game room was the kid's favorite (ages 15-22, they'll always be our babies)! That ping pong tournament was tense. The house itself was perfect for us. There was enough space to spend it all together in one space or for each of us to have some private time if we wanted it. Our group ranged in age from 15-81 yrs and there was really only one complaint - the water pressure in the shower was not that great but it did the job. We will definitely be putting this house on the list of the places to return to. Thank you, Berlin!

Loved the house, pool, and property!

My party was 15 ladies in their mid-sixties. The house was plenty big and well kept and several of the women would like to return. Pool was perfect! We spent a lot time in it! The Prayer Garden is awesome and we saw some beautiful sunsets there. The only negative I have (and this is really on me as I should have asked for clarification) is the house only has 12 beds so 1 person slept on a couch and 2 others on rollaway beds which were actually comfortable. However had I realized that some would be sleeping on rollaways I might have brought a really good air mattress. The property managers were really good in responding to emails and were quick to resolve the few issues we had upon arrival. All in all I would book this property again and recommend it for large groups.

Property is in a beautiful setting. Very peaceful.

There was plenty of room for a family of 13 including five children. The game room was sufficient area for the children to play. The TVs in both the game room and family room were small to view for a large group. The TV in the game room did not have cable access. The pool was amazing. The kitchen cabinetry has some minor flaws (i.e. Cabinet door hanging off hinge, one door wouldn't shut properly). Some basic amenities such as a bar of soap and coffee in the kitchen would have been nice. The prayer garden was very lovely and had a wonderful panaramic view. We enjoyed the short hikes we took. The children enjoyed playing on the play equipment. We enjoyed the pool. Overall, we had a wonderful stay together as a family.

GREAT family time! Would stay again.

We wanted a relaxed (not fancy) get away for three generations. A place for young children to play and swim, but not damage a "fancy" house. This home fit the bill perfectly. Great pool for the grandchildren, plenty of beautiful walks to take for kids and adults. The longhorns a big hit with the kids. The kitchen had every tool you might need for cooking. Large home with space for everyone. Our main problem was the AC wasn't functioning very well in the playroom and one upstairs bedroom. Great in the main part of the house. Our host came right away and put a portable AC in the play room which helped some, but still pretty darn warm, couldn't have slept in that room. Texas in the summer. We would have liked to have a little more personal interaction with our host. I like to get to know the owners, and their stories. Would HIGHLYrecommend this as a great place for larger groups, especially with children.
