Rock Jumper Country House

Rock Jumper Country House is a tranquil retreat nestled in Rooi Els, a
charming coastal village on the scenic Route 44, offering a peaceful
setting on the edge of the Kogelberg Nature Reserve. This rustic yet
refined house accommodates up to seven guests in three spacious
bedrooms, each featuring comfortable beds, quality linens, and ample
natural light. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, while the
other two rooms share a bathroom, perfect for families or small groups.
This home brings together modern amenities and classic charm with
internet access, an indoor fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen
complete with gas stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher for convenient
self-catering stays.

Guests will enjoy the house’s open layout, with a cosy lounge and a TV
with surround sound, a lovely dining area, and access to a private
garden with stunning mountain views. Outside, you’ll find a patio with
a private pool, a pizza oven, and a braai area for entertaining in true
South African style. The outdoor setup is perfect for soaking up the
natural beauty of Rooi Els, from enjoying the morning sun by the pool
to relaxing by the fire under the stars in the evening. This
family-friendly property also offers towels and linen, and a parking
space is provided for easy access to nearby activities and
destinations.

Rooi Els is a hidden gem in the Western Cape, known for its pristine
natural setting and proximity to the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. The
village, surrounded by waters on three sides, offers exceptional
whale-watching in winter and is loved by birders for sightings of the
rare Cape rockjumper and rock thrush. With no streetlights to disturb
the sky, Rooi Els invites you to gaze at the stars and explore the
local village charm, from the quaint Anemone Street with its cozy café
and eco-center to the narrow, scenic roads winding along the coastline.

Outdoor enthusiasts staying at Rock Jumper Country House can indulge in

Baboons visit the mountains often. It is important to always keep in
mind that they search for food and we advise guests to please take the
necessary precautions.

For security and verification purposes, a valid ID or passport will be required at check-in.
All our properties are strictly non-smoking, and tenants accept full liability for all minors and visitors. Pets, parties, and events are not permitted.
For stays of 8 nights or more, a complimentary mid-stay clean, including fresh linen, will be provided. Additional cleaning services can be arranged upon request with a minimum of 24 hours' notice and will incur an extra charge.
A refundable key and breakage deposit is payable prior to check-in, with the amount determined by the quality of the establishment and applied at the discretion of the owner or management.
Please be advised that, to promote a sustainable and comfortable experience for all our guests, electricity usage is governed by a fair use policy that permits a reasonable amount of daily consumption. In the rare event of unusually high usage, a reimbursement may be requested.

The Property Manager will arrange a check-in time with guests to meet at the
property, which is situated at 34°18'20.1"S 18°49'39.4"E.
The Property Manager will hand the keys to the guest and share with them
knowledge about the apartment and surroundings including the house rules.
