Whalesong: a beautifully styled 1-bedroom apartment designed for rest, remote work, and exploring the best of the South Peninsula. Just minutes from Simon’s Town and the trendy Kalk Bay, this cozy home is ideal for solo travellers or couples looking for comfort with a view.



Inside, you'll find a queen-sized bed with cotton linens and a newly renovated bathroom, giving the space a fresh and modern feel. The kitchen is fully equipped with a two-plate gas stove, oven, microwave, and full-sized fridge: everything you need for relaxed, self-catered stays. A compact dining nook doubles as a workspace for digital nomads or those squeezing in a little productivity between adventures.



The lounge is warm and inviting, with a TV connected to a media box offering access to major streaming platforms, so you can still wind down with your favourite shows. Sliding doors open up to a private-use balcony with panoramic views across False Bay. It’s the perfect spot for morning coffee, whale watching, or relaxing over the weber for some outdoor cooking. (Please note the balcony is ocean-facing and visible to neighbours: we can't have it all! ;) )



There’s another apartment, Azure, just opposite the entrance, making this a great choice for two couples or friends who want to travel together but stay separately.



Whether you're here to explore Cape Point, paddle with penguins at Boulders Beach, or simply enjoy the view: this is your peaceful home base.



Admin is boring so we are sorry for this however, we do have a regulatory requirement in South Africa which requires us to have a “Record of Guest”. We have opted to do this through Truvi in order that the process be super easy for you and that your personal information is stored and protected in a secure manner.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the whole apartment.



The Neighborhood:

Simon's Town is a maritime marvel steeped in history and charm. With its naval base roots, the town beautifully marries its historical architecture with the natural beauty of its bays and beaches. Famous for its colony of African penguins at Boulders Beach, Simon's Town offers visitors a unique chance to observe these delightful creatures up close. The town's cobbled streets are lined with quaint boutiques, eateries, and museums that speak to its rich heritage, making it a must-visit spot for those touring the Cape Peninsula.



Getting Around:

5 minute walk to the train station but a rental car for more exploration is recommended.



Other Things to Note:

Parking is on the street for 1 car but there is an active 24/7 neighbourhood watch and camera system. We do encourage you, however, to not leave anything in the car.

There is another apartment directly opposite this apartment that is also rented out: please be mindful of the other guests and the neighbours. This is a lovely quiet area that we all want to continue enjoying.

Interaction with Guests:

This is a self checkin apartment but Laurette (host) lives 5 minutes away in case of emergencies. The owner of the property does stay on the top floor of the house: you simply share an entrance gate.
