Walk to the rocky beach, gather in the garden or around the fire, then unwind in the 3-person Scandinavian-style electric soaker hot tub as another Newfoundland day comes to an end.

Tigh-Na-Mara sits in historic Crocker’s Cove, a quiet corner of Carbonear where the water is never far away. A small rocky beach is just a short walk from the house, while the garden, shoreline and surrounding neighbourhood give the property the slower pace that guests so often enjoy.

Carbonear itself offers the best of both worlds: a historic Newfoundland community with restaurants, shops and everyday essentials all within a few minutes of the house.

And when the exploring is done, come back to Crocker’s Cove, settle into the garden or hot tub, and enjoy being home by the sea.

You'll have access to the entire main house and backyard at Tigh-Na-Mara, giving you plenty of space to settle in, spend time together and enjoy the property at your own pace.

Outside, the garden is an important part of the Tigh-Na-Mara experience. Relax on the deck, fire up the BBQ, gather around the fire pit, or unwind under the open sky in the 3-person Scandinavian-style electric soaker hot tub. Unlike a traditional jetted hot tub, it's designed for a quieter, Nordic-inspired hot soak.

The matching outbuilding in the backyard is used for owner storage and is not included in guest access.

Inside, the main house is entirely yours, with its comfortable gathering spaces, well-equipped kitchen, four bedrooms and the Newfoundland art and collected treasures that give Tigh-Na-Mara so much of its character.

And when you want to get closer to the water, the rocky beach at Crocker’s Cove is just a short walk away.

Set in historic Crocker’s Cove, the house is filled with local art, books, music, games and collected treasures that give it a personality all its own. Guests often tell us it reminds them of visiting a Newfoundland family home—a place that's comfortable, interesting and made for spending time together.

The four bedrooms are located upstairs:

**Bedroom 4:** Two single beds

There is a full bathroom upstairs, along with a half bath and stackable washer and dryer on the main level.

Downstairs, you'll find comfortable spaces for gathering, a well-equipped kitchen and plenty to discover. Put on a record, choose a game, browse the books and Newfoundland art, or try your hand at some traditional Newfoundland instruments—including an Ugly Stick and electric piano.

Outside, the spacious garden extends the living space. Gather on the deck, cook on the BBQ, sit around the fire pit under the string lights, or settle into the **3-person Scandinavian-style electric soaker hot tub** for a quiet soak under the open sky.

The rocky beach at Crocker’s Cove is just a short walk away for beachcombing, picnics or simply spending some time beside the water.

Carbonear is a wonderfully walkable town, and from Tigh-Na-Mara you can explore much of the community on foot. Take a stroll along the waterfront, wander into the historic downtown, or head out simply to explore the streets and shoreline at your own pace.

For groceries, shopping and some amenities, a vehicle is convenient, with most everyday needs only a few minutes away.

A car also opens up the wider Baccalieu Trail. Just a short drive away is **Freshwater**, a beautiful little fishing village with roots stretching back to the 1600s. Follow the coastline beyond it and you'll encounter landscapes shaped by former fishing communities such as Flatrock, Blow Me Down and Otterbury—a fascinating glimpse into the history of Newfoundland's outports.

Harbour Grace, Bay Roberts, Cupids, Brigus, Port de Grave, Salmon Cove Sands and numerous trails and coastal communities are also within easy reach.

Tigh-Na-Mara works beautifully as both a place to slow down and explore on foot and a home base for getting out and discovering this part of Newfoundland.



### Before Your Stay

After booking, we'll ask you to complete our Pre-Arrival Form and review and agree to our rental conditions.

Detailed driving directions are sent three days before arrival, with check-in instructions sent at 12 PM the day before your stay.

Exterior Security Cameras

There are exterior security cameras located at the rear of the property. **None of the cameras view or monitor the hot tub area.** There are no cameras inside the home.

Guests & Gatherings

Only registered guests are permitted at the property unless additional visitors have been approved in advance.

Tigh-Na-Mara is a wonderful place for families and friends to spend time together, but parties, events and large gatherings are not permitted without prior approval.
