At the heart of the villa is the spacious kitchen and dining area, where mornings begin over coffee before heading out to the golf course or coast. French doors open directly onto the gardens, where the private putting green offers the perfect opportunity for a little friendly competition before breakfast or drinks before dinner.



Douglasleigh offers four beautifully appointed reception rooms, each with its own unique character.



The elegant living room provides a wonderful place to gather around the wood-burning stove after a day of exploring.



The morning room offers another cosy retreat, complete with its own wood-burning stove, making it the perfect spot for a quiet coffee, a good book or simply watching the garden throughout the seasons.



The games room is designed for sociable evenings, featuring a third wood-burning stove alongside a huge collection of board games that will entertain guests of all ages long into the evening.



For movie nights or gaming sessions, the snug features a large television and PlayStation 5, creating the perfect hideaway for teenagers and younger guests alike.



Children will also discover one of Douglasleigh's best-kept secrets - a hidden den tucked beneath the staircase, complete with books, cushions and toys, offering a magical little retreat they'll love to call their own.

The Neighborhood:

Situated in the heart of Carnoustie, Douglasleigh enjoys an enviable position just a 15-minute walk (or 5-minute drive) from the world-famous Carnoustie Golf Links, one of the world's greatest championship golf courses and host to multiple Open Championships.



The beautiful sandy beach, town centre, cafés, restaurants and independent shops are all within easy reach, allowing guests to explore Carnoustie before returning to the peace and privacy of the villa.



For golfers, Douglasleigh is perfectly positioned to experience Scotland's renowned Golf Coast. Panmure Golf Club is just minutes away, while St Andrews, Monifieth, Downfield and dozens of exceptional championship and links courses are all within comfortable driving distance.



Beyond golf, guests can enjoy coastal walks, the Angus countryside and excellent rail links to Dundee, Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Dundee is approximately 25 minutes away and offers the V&A Museum, waterfront attractions, shopping and an excellent selection of restaurants.

Getting Around:

Carnoustie is easy to explore on foot, with many of the town's attractions within walking distance.



The railway station offers direct services to Dundee, Aberdeen and Edinburgh, while Dundee is approximately 25 minutes by car. St Andrews, Arbroath, Broughty Ferry and the wider Angus coastline all make excellent day trips.



Private gated parking is available for two vehicles.



Other Things to Note:

Douglasleigh is a peaceful family home designed for relaxed holidays, golfing escapes and quality time together.



Strictly no parties or events. This includes stag and hen groups. Bookings that do not comply with this policy will be cancelled.



Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am. We kindly ask guests to respect our neighbours and the peaceful residential surroundings.
