Tämä on kahden makuuhuoneen mökki kristallinkirkas, hiekkapohjainen, kaikki urheilu Paradise Lake. Kaksi erillistä makuuhuonetta ja futon mahtuu kuusi mukavasti. Järvellä on paikallinen venesatama ja syöttikauppa kaikkiin veneily- ja kalastustarpeisiisi. Jos haluat, voit tuoda oman veneesi ja ajaa sen kadulle DNR-rampilla ja pysäköidä aivan mökin ulkopuolella yksityisellä laiturillasi. Kalastus on erinomaista ympäri vuoden. Meillä on myös 27 jalan ponttoni vuokrattavissa (viikoittain) mökillämme.

Mökimme sijaitsee keskeisellä paikalla Mittin kärjessä. Viiden minuutin päässä Mackinaw Citystä, ja Mackinaw Island Ferries, museot, historiallinen Fort Michilmacinac, majakat, Mill Creek. Vain Mackinaw-sillan yli vie Taquanemanin putoukset, kuvatut kivet, Sault Ste. Marie ja Sault Locks. Kasinot sijaitsevat Petoskelissa tai St. Ignace, vain Mackinaw-sillan yli.

Acorn Cottage was Awesome!

The Property owner was very friendly, helpful, and accessible by phone and text. Check-in and check-out were simple. The Property was unique in that it held a rustic charm with beautiful views of the lake, access to fishing and swimming, and everything you need to make your stay like home! Well-appointed with utensils, glasses, cookware, even a dishwasher. The two levels of decks were great, as was the dock and lake access for swimming. We highly recommend renting the pontoon as well, because it was very affordable and really was the icing on the cake for us! We spent hours swimming, fishing, and cruising the lake. The cottage is close to Mackinaw City, so if you need anything, it's close. Really just a nicely appointed rental in a great location on an awesome lake!

Perfect spot to extend a vacation

We booked the Acorn last minute to extend our vacation after a week with the full family. The charm and warmth of the cottage was instantly decompressing. It was the perfect place to relax and take excursions in the area with our son and dog. Hoping to stay longer in the future!

Great stay minutes from Mackinac

Fantastic stay with a great view over the lake. Small and dated but perfect for what we needed. We were a 11 min drive to Mackinac city and the ferries over to the island. When we were getting there Google maps sends you into the drive way of next door but the host was quick to answer our call and give us directions. Next door has a dog that we were told is not friendly but we had no issues other than a few barks between our dog and theirs. The neighbors yard was completely fenced in. Would definitely stay again!

Acorn Cabin Retreat

Great Knotty Pine and Acorn design interior. Very comfortable setting. Exterior is quiet with the Ducks swimming by the dock. Reading a book on the deck with the dog looking over the water and yard. We only wish we could have more time to stay. Next visit will be longer. The Gehde's from Green Bay Wi.

Location, location, location!

Convenient, clean & cozy. Easy booking via VRBO. Jennifer was prompt, and courteous with responses. Note...no AC installed but the area temp dropped on the first night and stayed down during our visit. Since our goal was to spend time around each Great Lake this was the perfect location for us. Many thanks to Jennifer and VRBO for the great service!

Wonderful stay

Beautiful cottage of beautiful lake. I feel the pictures didnt do the cottage justice it was much nicer than i expected. Very clean and cozy with every at home amenities i could want. Pontoon is available for rental during the stay for a very reasonable price. While out on the lake we saw bald eagles numerous times over the lake. Was a great view. Will definitely stay at acorn cottage in the future

Rental as described

The rental was pretty much as described, nothing more and nothing less. The cabin is old with older/ uncomfortable furnishings. The location is nice, on a picturesque lake and very close to the Mackinaw bridge and Upper Peninsula. We’ve stayed at a fair amount of VRBOs and most have “welcome” supplies like coffee for the first morning, bathroom soap and basic cooking supplies. This one does not, with the exception of salt and pepper.

Cottage is small, half the burners on stove worked. Several burned out light bulbs, or no light bulbs. Chairs very and futon uncomfortable. Biggest issue, no rails on steep steps to lake. This should be noted for the older customers or people with disabilities. Pontoon could use a good cleaning. Overall it was less then what I expected. We left a day early due to rain.

Great stay

This place is c completely awesome. Very clean, gorgeous views, super close to Mackinawand the UP, just great. The pontoon boat was in great shape. I read that someone didn’t like this place and chose to stay in a hotel!?!? Clearly they have some screws loose, this place is top notch.

Enjoy our stay. Quiet & peaceful which was what we needed. Could use a railing on the first set of steps for safety reasons. Nice place.
