Part of the Aegean Villas collection, Paul’s Mansion is a new, modern and sleek 300 m² home on the Akrotiri peninsula, designed for unique stays with uninterrupted views, high capacity, and first-class amenities.

Mostly white interiors create a bright, airy, summery feel from the moment you step inside. The ground floor opens into an inviting open-plan living area with a U-shaped, super-comfortable sofa, contemporary seating, and a large mirrored table that catches the light. Double-height, floor-to-ceiling windows gather all the elements of Cretan nature, from the quiet blue sea dotted with sailboats and cruise ships to the snowcapped White Mountains rising into a brilliant blue sky, while blackout rollers let you soften the strong Cretan sun. A JBL portable speaker and a 60” HDTV set the mood, and beside the lounge a fully equipped kitchen offers generous storage, all essential appliances and accessories, and a low island with a stove and seating that works beautifully for long stays or “show kitchen” evenings with a private chef, with a dining table at the centre of the room seating up to seven guests.

Across two levels, the villa sleeps 10 guests in five double bedrooms and can host up to 12 if necessary. Each bedroom is fitted with a 1.80 m x 2.00 m king-size bed framed in velvet fabric and a Sealy anatomic mattress for deeply comfortable, rejuvenating rest, and every room includes its own HDTV with satellite channels and self-controlled air conditioning. On the ground floor, one bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, an open closet, and direct access to the outdoor area, another bedroom enjoys a cozy fireplace and opens straight to the pool terrace, and a third bedroom also steps out to the pool. Alongside the en-suite, two additional full bathrooms with stand-up showers serve this level, and in total there are five modern bathrooms, each with its own style to match the bedroom it belongs to and all stocked with AVEA amenities.

A beautifully designed staircase leads up to the first floor, where a 30 m² master suite offers a double vanity with marble finishes, a walk-in shower, a walk-in closet that includes a safe deposit box, a 50” HDTV, and access to a large balcony with a built-in jacuzzi for up to seven guests, while the second upstairs bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with a stand-up shower, an open closet, and a 32” HDTV.

Outside, Paul’s Mansion opens onto a 3,000 m² private hillside estate that is fully fenced and entered through its own gate, creating a strong sense of seclusion. At its centre, a 65 m² private swimming pool, 1.50 m deep, stretches along a furnished terrace with a gazebo, sofas, a coffee table, and four double, high-quality sun loungers with soft mattresses. Landscaped gardens with lawn, flowers, and trees give children space to play, and a ping pong table invites friendly tournaments. A charcoal BBQ stands beside an outdoor dining table, making it easy to linger over grilled dinners, while electric awnings provide welcome shade during the warmest hours. This super-spacious outdoor area quickly becomes the highlight of most stays, and there is private parking within the grounds for four cars.

From this quiet, nature-wrapped setting, you remain close to practical comforts: the nearest living area, Kounoupidiana village, is only 3 km away and offers all kinds of shops and restaurants, and both Chania town and the airport are within easy driving reach. The surroundings feel pleasantly calm, and days slide easily from slow swims and lazy afternoons to lively gatherings. As night falls, the mood turns atmospheric, with evenings that can run late under starry skies and the sparkling city lights that ring the bay.

Stays at Paul’s Mansion come with thoughtful services that make holidays feel effortless: a welcome pack with wine and traditional Cretan treats on arrival, daily cleaning plus final cleaning, pool and garden maintenance two to three times per week, bath and pool towels, and towel and linen changes every two days, as well as the option to have shopping done before you arrive, with the cost of groceries settled separately. Both pool and hot tub heating are available on request for an additional daily charge for the entire stay and require at least one week’s notice to arrange.
