The personnel is second to none! A kind housekeeper assisted my friend take our luggage/bag to the car. Everyone is super nice and accommodating. This is the ONLY place we stay when we are in Charleston.

Didn't like anything, except the receptionist was helpful, but next morning breakfast and coffee were later than she said. The property is not thoroughly cleaned or kept up, though, the sink and toilet were clean, and the bed was comfortable. The property is not well kept up overall, but you get the idea they are trying.

it looked so different from the Photos. rooms so much smaller and well its not so clean. one of my sheets had blood (had to replace). one of my towels was not washed and had black stains like its been sitting on the floor (had to replace) fridge was not clean from previous customers and was so fishy and leaking. they did not replace, instead they just took it out. the receptionist on the other hand was exceptional. friendly and accommodating. coffee was in the lobby all day. bfast was messy tho and lobby is so small. if the restaurants were not close by we would of relocated.

The feont desk person was helpful and nice. We knew it was a budget stay and that was fine. We didnt expect the little shampoos to be half used. Not that we would have used them anyway, but it was a sign of other things not being done right. They clean what you can see as a guest.... or thats the plan. They don't clean well at all. The sheets were clean. The towels were well used, but clean. The breakfast was ok...ish. it could have been better.... could have been worse. The ice machine struggled and it took forever to fill a cup. The caulk job from the recent "spruce up" was not good or even close. But I wasn't sleeping on caulk so I could ignore it. The bottom of the toilet where it meets the floor, was filthy. We showered and slept.... no kids to crawl around and get dirty, so overall, we got what we paid for..... minus the shampoo.... that open/half empty bottle bothered me....
The dock/water area was nice.

The front desk staff was nice & often respond promptly to your request. However, the room was not well maintained. The AC was so noisy & dirty with some dusts flying out whenever its fan was running. None of us could sleep well throughout the night due to the intermittent noises from the AC. The pillows were old & kind of smelly, so we didn’t use them. There was only one chair in the room & it was placed in a narrow area of the walkway, so we cannot sit on it anyway. The breakfast was so bad with sour coffee and old eggs. There was a waffle maker, but the waffles we made were sour too; not sure how long the waffle mix had been there that make the waffles sour. I would rather them not offering any breakfast than giving us bad breakfasts every morning. We stayed here for 4 nights & rented 3 rooms, but every single room seemed to have similar issues according to complaints from other family members.

Just what we needed..

Great place to stay. Very clean and thr employees are really nice. It can get noisy on thr weekends and parking is hard on those weekend nights, but it is a great hotel.
